Just got home after a week on Kapalua. Stayed in a 45 yr old villa 2bed 2 &1/2 bath with a fabulous view! Haven't see you on CZcams in weeks.

The only place I had to fly to first time for me in a plane was Maui. To me it is the most awesome place you can be I loved it so much. You can feel that it’s a very special area on earth. If I could afford it I would love to live in Maui. Maybe one day.

I would imagine the cost materials for any construction in Hawaii is pretty high considering extra costs for shipping. I can see why locals become immediately priced out and why the destruction of all the historic structures and homes of Lahaina are way to costly to rebuild😢
Yes, I would say that the Disney distance is very close to accurate. I live in Tampa and just got back from Maui, I went to Hana for school at the end of Jan. We flew 4,601 miles to get to Kahului and Orlando is approximately 70 miles from Tampa. Thank you for your videos about Lahaina, I’m sharing them to make people aware. Just a quick note on that - Lockheed Martin website shows the dew engineering in pictures on their home page. Wish this house were a possibility in my life and maybe for the future 🌈🩵🤙 blessings to you and yours.

All my life I've always said that my dream was to live where the mountains meet the sea. At 68 years old, I still have the dream. If only I could afford to live there, but Social Security doesn't pay enough. I guess it's a dream that will never come true. 😢

A few things I think of when I buy a house is no pool because I live in Hawaii I rather go to a beach jacuzzi is ok but not a pool. Another thing is I like the house to be only one store because when I'm tired or when I get old no one wants to walk up the steps to go into the bedroom. I learned this from experience when I was tired and watched tv when I would just sleep on the couch the bedroom was always empty haha.

Texas has 60 counties on fire with 65 mile per hour winds. From what I have seen it looks just like Maui! Cars burned to a crisp!

You can’t do less than six months rental in this neighborhood. You would probably get at least 10 to 15,000 a month for this home long-term.

The house was very nice. The view was beautiful! But for 3 million I am gonna need a MUCH bigger closet for my clothes and a huge craft room with storage. That workout room is kinda sad. Just sayin. 😂 wondering what people’s ideas are for the “piano room” if they don’t play. Pool table? Office area with a great view?

What's the asking price?
Is it me or does the area when you first walk in look like a lot of wasted space ? And not a huge fan of the configurations of the home. Not what I’d spend 3 million on but everybody’s taste is different.

Maui needs tourist to survive but we don’t need tourists to buy homes here. This is the main reason why prices are going up!
When wealthy “tourists” want to live here the “tourists” starts complaining about how locals live here! For example, HCNS Maui cane sugar for over 150 years they been farming. Then the “tourists” who loved Hawai’i so much wanted to move to build a home where there wasn’t any before, started complaining about the burning of the cane because of all the ash. They protested to have HCNS company shut down and while “tourists” were happy, locals not at all. Another HCNS was born called Haoles Came N Stole.
It did backfire though cause another farming company bought all 41,000 acres of it, Mahi Pono. Let’s see how they going complain about that one. Literally going towards stables on paia side, those million dollar beach front homes they are farming right across the road.
Everybody who lives in Hawaii should go to the mainland and find the most smallest historical town and just take over. Complain and protest about everything they do and how they do it, and tell them how to do it better.
