The DANKO DANKO they don’t get what he was doing haha, in a way it actually makes me like him more because he was so unique and such a real comic that not everyone is gonna get what he was doing.
Look his death was tragic but just because he died doesn't make him funny or a genius at comedy. I'm sorry but if all his comedy is this bad I'm not sure how he got booked. This sucks the fact he died doesn't change facts.
Robsim nobody’s giving him credit just cause he’s dead, a lot of people die and people don’t pretend like they did awesome stuff. Comedy is subjective to each individual, you probably like regular comedy with set up punchline, nothing wrong with that, but Brody was a very skilled comedian and he knew how to take it in a different direction. I don’t expect most people to like him or get what he’s doing. But you can’t say people like him and call him a genius just cause he killed himself that’s really dumb.

I'm Canadian (and lived in Montreal for many many years) and I can confirm that the "Just for Laughs" festival is absolutely the front line when it comes to audience suckage.

He did receive help but had quit taking his medications several months prior and was in the process of getting re-stabilized on them again (if that's the correct way to say it. He began taking his meds again, is what I meant) when he passed away
So it's not as if he had no idea he needed help

i noticed the crowd for these Just For Laughs clips are pretty tough! I seen Brody a bunch of times in LA and he's fucking great, he's funny not even really for his few jokes that he has, it's about everything else he does... one set i saw him do he just started walking around the crowd yelling at everyone, and it killed me and raised the energy of the room. i ENJOYED IT. you cant replicate that shit.

I figured Brody would be a hard sell at Just For Laughs. Even Paul F. Tompkins had a rough time one year doing this. The crowd really seems to do a great impersonation of a brick wall. It's a good place for comedians to sharpen against such rough conditions.
