I ordered my 540 about 3.5 months ago. Received it Monday. I truly love it. I traded in my 2018. I started out with a 2008 328, M550, X6, 2018 540i (great car) and now the 2024 540i (fully loaded)
The g60 540 powertrain is sooooo good. I did a proper launch control recently and was that a LAUNCH. it took off like a mofo and kept pulling. Can only imagine what the new M5 feels like, reminds me so much of bullet bill from mario kart
Great review Anthony. I have to admit that I love this car in this configuration. That really is amazing MPGs considering the performance of that awesome sounding engine. Vegan leather always makes me laugh. I think they used to call that vinyl 😁 We hit 108 here today and it's still muggy as can be and I just soaked the AC. How are you doing on your side? The 5 is an awesome vehicle and I agree, Vegan? Really! lol it’s fake leather. We hit 103 today and a side of rain that sounds like an all nighter. Sounds goods I got to enjoy the a/c for the day, I did a couple hours of work on my sports car but otherwise inside 😁 happy Sunday James
just got a 530 as a loaner. i actually might trade my g87 m2 for a 540. just need to test drive the 540 first but it is sooo much more comfortable and practical. i am so sick of getting beat up every day in the m2 on my commutes in the city. its also a manual
I drove a 5 last year for a month as a loaner. For a car as big as it is it is quite fast and peppy. I did like the power adjustable steering wheel. A nice car for people who need a big 4 door sedan.
Great review! You seemed to like this one with the M Sport package better than the one without. I drove it, and quite enjoyed the performance and luxury touches over my Audi A5 SB. Ordered a MY25 in Carbon Black metallic.
I didn’t say it has it, I said it should have it and for the exterior sound coming in. It isn’t as quiet as the last gen, the tires help but it’s also the sound proofing 👍
@HawkeyeRides that's disappointing because I drove a new 530i and it wasn't bad. Short drive though. Thinking about ordering one may need a longer drive. I have the 2025 order guide and no soft close doors. I had them in my 2011 and 2018. Weird they don't offer them now. Also can't get multi- contoured seats unless you get luxury package. Some very odd changes. Thanks for another well done review..
@@rolexhulk1774 yeah I was a little disappoint with the option list too. The changes nearly push a person into a 7 and the performance in the 5 is good. Plus I like that it’s not as long as the 7, I feel like the 7 is like an suv without the height. It’s nice but too long for me, the 25 4 series has a lot of improvement, I would recommend trying it out as a comparison. The Gran Coupe, I’ll have the 25 review soon but have a few of the 24 model.
@HawkeyeRides that's funny was actually thinking about the M440 gran coupe. Would be nice if you cam get one of them and let us know your thoughts. Gotta have the B58 - we have an X5 and it's crazy fast!
@@rolexhulk1774 I’m excited for it as this year they have more power with the m440i and from reviewing the 25 m4 comp, the ride was smoother plus better performance.
Wow exhaust notes are so pathetic…not sure why these car reviews include them. My vacuum sounds meaner than most cars today and definitely this one…unfortunately we are experiencing a major decline in performance cars….

I don’t think soft close doors are available in this vehicle which is weird because my 2018 had it. Noise maybe the 21 inch wheels.

They are both nice vehicles and depending on which side a person is on one will always be better than the other 😁👍
