    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
    Andrew and Ashley spent 2 years building this adventure vehicle from the ground up. They worked out of their friends garage and literally built the frame, the box, the interior... Everything. They initially hoped it would take 2 months of 16 hour days... Always give yourself more time than you think it's going to take. They have a beefy solar system with lithium batteries, tons of storage and the ability to travel on absolutely any terrain with the truck they built on top of and the additions they made. There's so much good information in this video about a small, functional layout including a bathroom, how to take care of moisture under beds and solar, so if you love adventure and life on the road, this is the video for you!

We had renovated the whole thing and had even moved out of our place and were preparing to get on the road in a matter of days. Anyway, as far as work, my husband is a front end developer (a type of web developer), so he was just going to continue his work as usual. That’s one option. He’s going with a 2 unit mini split 4 to 6 BB lithium and a dual fuel (gas or propane) generator, mostly relying on propane to power he feel he can recharge with 3 to 4 hrs and it’s cost effective over the additional hardware for a full solar setup. Using SIPS (Structural Insulated Panels) is a natural for these RVs. Glad to see you went this route. The beauty of them is they can be made up to 8'x24", and various thickness. They are inherently stiff/strong and bear all sorts of load. And of course, it is completely insulated. You can cut windows/doors, etc., and within reason, not endanger the structural integrity.

Love the wall of shelves with the flat buttons instead of handles (used on boats). Maybe you should paint the name of your You Tube channel on the outside of your truck. Tip: ideally more AC for your dog. Maybe someone out there has good ideas for more AC (hopefully at a reasonable cost). This information on AC's could be helpful for all pet guardians and builders. What was the total spend on the build? Also working on the road is a must. Well if you want to be out there awhile. What type of work do you guys do? I am looking to reinvent myself and flexibility is key. Thanks and amazing rig and video work!

    Pretty cool build. I was surprised you didn’t go with a composting toilet since you are definitely set up for off grid living. Don’t know much about cassette potty’s so maybe I’m missing something! Many happy travels and stay safe!

      We built a custom tire crane on the roof to help get the spare up there!

    Love this but how do you drive under bridges? Seems massively tall.

    • @boeing-lt4el
      @boeing-lt4el Před 3 lety +9

      Judging by the height when he was doing the exterior walkaround, this looks to be 11 or 12ft tall. Nearly every bridge/overpass in the US is 14ft minimum.

    • @dewayneearley7298
      @dewayneearley7298 Před 3 lety

      13'6" is the average height for overpasses and all utility lines so that semi's can go under.

    • @AndrewMuse
      @AndrewMuse Před 3 lety +1

      With the AC and WeBoost on top it's 13'6 so we fit under most overpasses in the US!
