    Great job! I would also add a special emphasis on stall/spin awareness and maintaining vigilance w coordination. Maybe touch on the paradox that is stall prevention. Assuming pilot is low and slow needs to keep a plane from stalling and “crashing” by actually “trying” to crash it (i.e nose down attitude into the dirt to save his airspeed and keep AOA from getting too high) Natural reaction in the real thing is to immediately pull back bc pilots think the “elevator” is what elevates but as pilots we must train out those reflexes and develop safe actions.

    These Embry Riddle Videos are BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER YT VIDS PUT TOGETHER ! But this one has a serious error. At 5:13 they show to
    shut off the Master. This is bad. The flaps to be applied at the end of the landing are electrically operated and will not work if the master is off.

      Shutting off the master needs to be done after flaps are put in. If you leave the master switch on you could risk a fire after the forced landing.

    What about applying carb heat?

      Manuel Garcia This is Embry Riddle we’re talking about here. Their planes are fancy, new, and all fuel injected. Now, if you’re like the rest of us and train in old carbureted airplanes, you want to turn that on to rule out any carburetor icing. If the engine still doesn’t start, then the problem is something else and you need to start securing the airplane

    • @pilotactor777
      @pilotactor777 Před 3 lety +1

      no carb heat on this aircraft-

    Giving yourself as much time? Really. So, get a drink, recline the lazy boy, light a cigarette. TAKE YOUR TIME, NO RUSH TO DO THINGS. Call your friends and ask what they would do if the engine quits. TAKE YOUR TIME.
