I think the parents deserve a fair blame in this case. They literally manipulated and forced him to marry a girl of their status and caste.
Abhishek also deserves to be criticized. If he didn't like Supriya he should have not gone for a kid very early. He should have divorced Supriya and married Kajal.
Some or Supriyas wishes were reasonable. But on a whole Supriya was a difficult to deal with person. She was from a rich family and was a little spoiled.
Why supriya... actually Abhishek is the only man who was responsible for this ....he doesn't have the guts to take a stand for kajal...later...he doesn't take a stand for his wife...he was a failed boyfriend as well as a failed husband... moreover...he doesn't care about his own 6 month old son
Marriage should be very transparent. Both the partners should be happy. Parents should understand the feelings of their children. Parents are not gonna marry but their children will so it should be their decision. By the way Supriya was not respectful like the parents had thought. Divorce is the best option.

I watched this episode when it first came out 6 years ago, and I've watched it several times since then. This remains one of my most favorite episodes of CP, and also one of the most relevant.
Never let materialistic things determine your choices in life. If you are in love with someone who reciprocates your feelings, you can build an empire with that person. Life will always feel incomplete without the person you truly desire, even if you are bestowed with all the worldly riches.
Abhishek should have been determined to marry Kajal, come what may. Parents should realize that at the end of the day, the two people in a marriage should feel content with each other. I'm 100% sure that they chose Supriya over Kajal simply because of the dowry her parents could have afforded. No point in ruining lives.
The problem was more in Abhishek and in his parents. His parents were manipulate and controlling. Abhishek was submissive in nature and it's a recipe for disaster.
Supriya may have been shrewd and mean but some of her points were true. Abhishek was a mamas boy. He was dumb in that context. He always listened to parents. His parents kept controlling him and he broke up with Kajal because of that.
Even when he met kajal he should have divorced Supriya rather than listening to Kajal. Over there also Kajal dominated him.
@@afdcg True. A manipulative parent and a meek grown child is the worst combination ever. I had an uncle who passed away two years ago, and he was a very gentle person. As far as submitting to other's choices are concerned, he was like Abhishek here, where he was in a loveless marriage with a woman he married because of family pressure.
Coming back to the story, Supriya would have gone ballistic had Abhishek asked her for a divorce. Even if she did divorce him, Abhishek would have lost a lot of money to her in alimony and child-care post divorce. In a way, he wanted to have the cake and eat it too, by having Supriya out of the picture without owing her anything and getting back Kajal. Like Kajal said, "Do naav pe pair rakhoge toh doobna tay hai."

But Abhishek and his parents were obviously wrong. Abhishek was at fault.
He had to say sorry to Supriya here and break up. Supriya no matter how shrude she was would also have to accept it.
Life wouldn't be easy but it would be better than being in jail. I think saying Sorry by meaning it can change peoples decision. But if Abhishek had an affair behind her back and got Kajal pregnant then Supriya wouldn't leave him.
I think once Abhishek was fed up by Supriya and he found Kajal, he should have told Supriya he doesn't love her and she will never be happy with him.
If Abhiskek did the right stuff maybe things would be better.

I think their controlling nature continues even after the guys marriage. If girls are innocent they end up suffering. If girls are shrude then the parents end up being in bad equation with the son.
But now because girls work and get paid well, even their parents control them a lot.
@@afdcg Actually, this episode is aptly titled 'Mukammal'. "Kabhi kisi ko mukammal jahan nahin milta - kahin zameen toh kahin aasmaan nahi milta". Abhishek should have chosen love over everything else from the very onset. Create life-long wealth with the one you love. If your parents want to break off their relationship with you for the sole reason that you are choosing your own life-companion, then it just means their love is conditional and not worth it.

Parents fault this time. Supriya turned out to be disrespectful at another level which they didn’t even think about. They could have nicely explained and taught Kajol how to behave if that even would have been a problem.

As i see the whole episode i find out that both the girls are independent, strong, firmed to their dicision.. . A strong personality.. What was lacking is a boy personality..
