- In quickmatch, the whole battle is designed to giva a result as fast as possible (while being fair to both teams). Due to head on confrontation + high game speed, the matches in most cases shouldn't be longer than 10 Minutes each.

Wolf: - I meant to say, natural causes.
The peasant: Oh okay... how much does it pay?
Wolf: You actually pay me 80 gold every month.
One of the peasants: I - I mean we! Demand lower ta-

As soon as I saw, Wolf was building his smallest castle, I was sure he would win.

@@JustSchalke04 with low gold its better. If he builds one of his big ones with 3000 gold, he takes way too long to get armies ready to attack.
@@OlafJorigson thats why i dont get why udwin rated it the worst, which means even worsen than the gigantic mf castle with extremely long ways, and a shitty defense. With the small one he is like "the workshops are exposed blablabla", doesnt matter as AI's rarely target those...
Quickmatch Analysis #4
-Two immovable objects clash, heap of defensive Crossbowmen versus heap of defensive Arabian Archers supported by Fire Throwers.
-Saladin buys way more Arabian Archers and Horsemen, so most of the match takes place on the Wolf's side of the field.
-The harassment that crippled Richard didn't really slow down the Wolf enough for Saladin to outpace him, the gate position being behind the keep really helps.
-Both sides take out pretty expensive towers with engines, but that doesn't seem to slow either lord.
-It's just a race to reach critical mass of melee units, and the Wolf's European armor units normally fare better than Arabian Swordsmen against bolts (50 arrows per pike, 167 arrows per swordsman, versus 3 bolts per Arabian Swordsman) but fear factor skews this slightly better for Saladin. Wolf still does better at critical mass though.
-It's hard to find a dramatic turning point, but it would probably be 18:00, where Saladin threw away his all of Arabian Swordsmen for no ground, leaving the Wolf with almost double Saladin's troop count.
-Despite the Wolf's armor costing 1.68 times as much per head as Saladin's (assuming a 50/50 mix of pike and sword), the Wolf got to critical mass first. The crossbow vs Arab Swordsmen matchup is just that good.
-On a long enough time scale, Wolf is gradually gaining a decent trickle of value because he creates more value using weapons than he loses by selling them to pay for mercenaries like Saladin.
Looking forward to the next one! Maybe we'll see a showdown between two mid tier Arabian lords?
In first 10 minutes it looked like Saladin will pull it of with his early aggression but Wolf stabilizes situation and slowly turns the tide.
I dont think your arrow count per Unit is correct. Pikemen are infact tankier than Swordsmen.
@@TheSinghisking4ever but does it matter much tho? The point stands that both the main of wolf's attacking army die SIGNIFICANTLY longer combared to saladin's

2 things I noticed in this match: 1) Saladin never reinforced his defenses with bowmen even though he had the better economy.
2) Saladin never used mobile catapults properly to smash Wolf's castle which would let the Arabian swordsmen flood into Wolf himself
I think these 2 stupidities of the AI algorithms for Saladin.

Interesting how they showcase both ideal builds:
Wolf is the production focused build with negative fear factor
Saladin is the tax based build with positive fear factor and good relationship
Saladin lost when he stopped using his catapults properly... weirdest AI behaviour in the game anyway. The small Wolf castle is often easily crushed by catapults.

saladin lost only to his inability to make baracks. although this was great
Saladin's only weakness is his troop's power. If the power of crusader troops and Arabian troops become equal somehow he can easily defeat any AI in-game.
Edit: Also Wolf spend more men(and powerful) on his defenses that's what kept him safe. And on the other side, Saladin's weak & fewer defenders kept Saladin vulnerable.
Arabian troops are broken too. Didnt you forget horse archers? Broken as hell

it at least makes the crowbowman really friggin compact, shredded any arabian swordsman armies to bits

Gotta love those AI siege engines... either happily chilling behind their own castle without doing anything, or happily rolling forward without doing anything. Uargh...

how to AI vs AI without your character?

Wie beschleunigst du das Spiel so sehr? Wo kann ich so einen Mod herunterladen?
Ich glaube, das ist der aktuellste (bin mir aber nicht sicher) Udwin hat auf seinem „Udwin“ Kanal auch ein Video im April zu hochgeladen und da hat er das verlinkt github.com/Sh0wdown/UnofficialCrusaderPatch/releases oder hier zum Video m.czcams.com/video/OWszb1yhn1M/video.html
Achso und dann einfach mit Plus und Minus auf dem Numbpad wie im normalen Spiel, nur dass es eine Geschindigkeitsspanne von 10-1000 hat, statt ich glaube 20-90

this is a custo map, right? Why dont u make it bigger? :/ They spawn literally next to each other, if you can make a similar custom map, but bigger, i think that would be better.
If you put Wolf and Saladin in a battle with great distance it would be boring af
saladins melee units where not even close to wolfs keep. without the passive support provided by saladins bowmen hordes protecting his economy, his swordsmen would never had reached that far. the ai is forced to use almost every single soldier in battle with this limited amount of space available. this makes this small map the best for fast and hard fights and way more enjoyable to watch because almost no soldier would be wasted defending the economy waiting for marauders that would almost never arrive. just take a look at the quickbattle sultan vs rat. almost half of sultans soldiers where standing next to his economy and did nothing because both castles where just that small that they had enough space.

Sadly the AI is so bad.
Started to play strongold crusader HD 2 days ago and I am on mission you fight 3 Wolf.
Havent tried the mission out yet but everything so far have been a joke. And thats after 2 days playing.
Using the 50 speed or standard.
Prety much every mission i just go 1-2 towers depending on how much gold i start with and get like some archers or crossbows with sige shields in towers. No walls is needed, then economy and gg. Main reason i think is AI is so bad and building upp economy and so bad at using the gold. Been cool if you chould recruit tropps faster and if AI did that to for bigger armies.
You should download unofficial crusader patch to make Ai better

I agree, they should've made levels 40-50 way harder.
Level 50 is really the only challenge.

If it was any other Wolf castle .. Saladin would win
Oh, I can guarantee you: with castle 6 (which is by far the strongest of the wolf), saladin would have been wiped out a lot faster. Even with only 3000 Starting Gold. Castles 5 and 7 would do very formidable aswell.

eh, i believe Arabian army stand no chance vs well placed amount of crossbowmen + Balistas, especially vs someone like Wolf who can replace them easily.
You should slow it down a bit
But then it wouldnt be a Quickmatch anymore
This video takes around 23 minutes. If he even slowed it down to 100 instead of 400 speed, the video would take one and a half hour.
But it doesnt make fun to watch it, when everything is so fast :/
