Hey everyone, voice of Cid here. Just want to say how much of a privilege it was to be part of this project. This was my first voice role and I hope you guys all enjoy it. I have been a big fan of the Final Fantasy series so thank you Rab for including me and for making this work of art. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next!

I bought it on sale too xd I feel so bad for those who paid full price and still had to buy the DLCs appart.
Peace Ecaep i got it for less than $10 and it still wasnt worth it. It’s not about the money, it’s about the time you’re spending.
Try buying the "royal edition" dlc thinking it will give you all the previous dlcs, when you got the game on release day, only to find out it's not a complete edition upgrade, but just a crummy extra final dungeon and cutscenes. I may have platted FFXV but I ain't throwing another dollar into it lmao

The game was in development for 10 YEARS!
All because they wanted to make a side game set in the 13 universe but then made it it's OWN main line game.
The most emotional death in the game was the car...
Not even a joke. Love that car.
That was a legit cry scene. Also they used it to get emotional about Regis' death. Two stones with one bird and all.
The car was sad but tbh the saddest was Ravus.

Understandable that Noct wants to end the darkness as soon as possible but it still sucks that we didn't get a chance to see how much that country changed after 10 years, including the other characters like Iris, Cindy, Cid, Dave, and all the other npc's...
To be fair, I actually didn't notice that Ignis's face was scarred in the beginning during my first play through. But even if I did, I doubt I would have been able to guess that it would be a major plot device.
I love how the villains get along way better with each other, than literally any of the heroes in the series

You know a game majorly messed up its development when you have more of an emotional reaction to the CAR being destroyed than the main love interest. It has a better character arc too with all the side quests you can do to upgrade it.
The fact that the cars death hurt more than every other death in the game says things.
At least they got one thing right

They already made 2 games better than 7. 6 and 9.
@@mkt568 Debatable, 6 had a richer story, but it wasn't a milestone in graphics nor character design, which still looked a lot like FF4's. FF9 had a great cast of characters and setting, but sadly, it didn't sell nowhere as well as 7, this was due to not being released to PC until 2016.
So, yeah, while I have to agree that FF9 might just topple FF7's title as the best FF so far, in Squeenix's eyes, it wasn't.
Another point to debate is spin-off games, aside from Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia, FF9's never had spin-off games like FF7 with Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Ergheiz and the Remake itself. Not to mention the CGI film Advent Children and animated shorts, which, were crap, but hey, that's something FF9 didn't have.
But they did make a better FF game. Shadowbringers came out almost a year before FF7 remake.

@@colleennewholy9026 I think I saved that one for last, when my level was higher, so it wasn't horrible. And I had a better understanding of the mechanics. The fish you catch with Gladio's sidequest though was a beast for me.
In reading this again and just watching someone livestream catching both the Liege of the Lake and the one from Galdin Quay...I'm really confused now how I pulled that off.
If I did the lake one first, that means I did it with a weaker rod than the best one in the game. You don't get that until after the one from the Galdin Quay and then you're supposed to do the Liege. No wonder then it took me so long! I did get a rod from the DLC though but I know that wasn't the strongest in the game.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley It's not really that hard if you did the grinding for your fishing rod parts to max it out. It just takes a freaking eternity.

15:54 is one of the most accurate parts of this parody. I feel like they had a few scenes cut out of the final product before they got to that scene and it makes gladios come across as a dick.

I just wanted Luna and Noctis to have an actual conversation with each other. Shipping the guys together makes more sense than Noct and Luna's relationship ever did.

@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley This was someone else's suggestion, but it would've been so much better to add it - having Luna occasionally call Noctis and them having chats over the phone while you wander the game. I mean, they can just say that the letters were just part of formalities or it was something more traditional they liked having, but everyone has cell phones in this game, dammit!
@@FlowerEmblem Actually, no, she couldn't call Noctis. She was being watched constantly, even when walking around healing people. In fact, her brother Ravus was the one who stopped her from trying to escape Tenebrae in the movie. Without a doubt, Nirlheim wouldn't allow her to have a cell phone.
But writing, she likely does a lot of that as a princess, and Tenebrae strikes me as a country where writing is more frequent anyways instead of using modern technology. They just seem more "traditional" than Lucis. Writing, even in the notebook, would be easier to hide. And who the heck would expect the method of transportation to be a magical dog?
Their one opening to be able to meet in person though could've been when Noctis was speaking with the woman who runs Altissia...Claustra something or another, lol. Luna was still being held by guards, as evidenced when she got up and swatted their guns out of her face, but some excuse could've been made to get the two in a room together. A bathroom or a room where Luna could maybe change clothes by herself briefly. It's just really hard to become fully invested in their romance when the only time they've met was when he was 8 and she was 12 and it's been the equivilant of an online relationship since, without the added benefit of video calls. Plus, we've played through the game with Noctis, we get to see all of his good...and bad sides. His laziness, constant complaining and spoiled personality kind of makes me say Luna dodged a bullet with not marrying him for real, lol. Imagine having to get to know your spouse only after the knot is tied 😬
(No, I love Noctis and he's actually my favorite of the four but he's quite the fixer-upper).

@@vexile12 Gladiolus, Ignis, Prompto, Ardyn and Optional route in chapter 13, with another 3 cancelled dlc for Aranea, Luna and Noctis.
There’s a great story there, if you watch the film, and the animated series, and play the dlc and read the novel. It was handled abysmally but I still enjoyed it

Long story short, Square canceled Versus XIII. Then started over from scratch recycling characters and settings. This new project became XV.
Everything worked on during Versus XIII was scrapped. With XV being rushed to attempt to keep the illusion that it was that same game from 2007 until the devs eventually came clean about the development.

Most I've ever paid for a game was $100 but this was for Assassin's Creed 3...which I never played directly. I was obsessed with the AC series and got the encyclopedia bundled with the game. My sibling played the game and I watched at some points but not much. I was working a job and he wasn't so I kept saying I would get to it but never did. I no longer have a PS3 but the book sits propped in a nook in my dresser, unread because it's now room decoration, lol. And my burning obsession has finally cooled its jets. So yeah...$100 I didn't/don't utilize.

Honestly, worth. First game I ever bought DLC for and I still don’t regret it. Even Ardyn is fun to play around with from time to time. Conditioned to Hate is a bop.

I remember the first dlc I got was fire emblem Awakening. It was fun overall especially seeing the extra stuff and Morgan's backstory more so than the fates dlc. We didn't get it all and meh overall what we did get aside the kids story part.
Other than that I don't really buy dlc at all only look for games that can stand on thier own with the dlc are bonus but not needed for the main story.

- Episode Gladiolus covers what Gladio was doing when he left the party at the end of Chapter 5. It can be reasonably inferred that he left to go train on his own for a while and came back with a few new scars. Exactly how he got them turns out to be pretty irrelevant.
- Everything important you learn in Episode Prompto *is* covered in the main story once he rejoins you in Chapter 13 (i.e., he’s a Magitek soldier).
- Episode Ignis is the only one you can really make a case for being necessary, but even so, Iggie mentions on the train to Tenebrae in Chapter 11 that the last thing he remembered before waking up blind was seeing Ardyn’s dropship leaving Leviathan’s altar. Make of that what you will. Either way, it’s by far the best of the DLC episodes and totally worth the $6, if you ask me.
- Episode Ardyn is 100% extra and only covers a bit of extra information regarding his origins and motivations, and not exceptionally well, unfortunately. Still fun to play, though, and like I said, Conditioned to Hate is a bop.
My point with all this being you can understand the larger plot well enough without them.
@@kingfail3819 yeah it's fine but I'm always on the mindset dlc should be bonus for story not a necessary as the base story should be a stand alone while the bonus stuff is just to add to the already done story.
Some examples of good and bad. Tales of zesteria is super bad because it makes Alicia as a character and she leaves for 10 percent of the beggining and only comes back for one major battle. Then she is dlc story that is after the main story and so bsd they never do that again. Luckily I got the game pre order and Japan hates it so much the dlc was free so I paid nothing extra.
Good dlc is awakening as wile unneeded it gives some more to the cast in story but not needed for the base overall.
But it would have been better to have the cast side stories be in the base game and extra stuff like be dlc to expand better.
Is fight the future going to be covered? Bahamut is really the ultimate villain of the game and the description of the final battle is SICK
