DAWSON | Trailer | Staatsballett Berlin

Im Januar 2021, einem der dunkelsten Momente der Pandemie, begab sich der Choreograph David Dawson mit den Tänzer:innen seiner Besetzung auf eine individuelle introspektive Suche, um im geschützten Raum des Probensaals eine vertrauensvolle Gemeinschaft wachsen zu lassen. Das Ergebnis: die Uraufführung VOICES mit Musik von Max Richter, getanzt von 14 Tänzer:innen des Staatsballetts Berlin.
Neben der Uraufführung von VOICES steht CITIZEN NOWHERE auf dem Programm. In diesem 24-minütigen Solostück von 2017 beschäftigt sich Dawson sich mit dem Gefühl der Verlorenheit des Individuums. Inspiriert von »Der kleine Prinz« verleiht dieses Solostück der Philosophie von Antoine de Saint-Exupéry körperlichen Ausdruck. Tickets sind unter www.staatsballett-berlin.de erhältlich.

In January 2021, during one of the pandemic's darkest moments, Dawson, together with his cast, embarked on an introspective journey, allowing a communal spirit of trust come to fruition in the protected, shielded, and safe confines of the rehearsal studio. The result is the new creation VOICES with music by Max Richter and 14 dancers of the Staatsballett Berlin. On Sunday, September 26, we'll celebrate the premiere of DAWSON, a double bill featuring works by renowned choreographer David Dawson.
Apart from a world premiere, VOICES, you'll be treated to a CITIZEN NOWHERE, a 24-minute solo from 2017 which explores the feeling of being lost. Inspired by »The Little Prince«, this solo work gives physicality to the philosophy of Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Tickets are available via www.staatsballett-berlin.de
