There are 56 million millionaires in this world. A very small portion of them are pokemon collectors, but it doesnt take much to make an impact in the high end market. The fact is $30k is a lot of money to most people but thats why the high end items aren't widely available. If an item is rare enough and/or desired enough it doesn't take more than two people with a lot of money competing against each other who really want that item to drive the price up on that item. Art collectors have been spending millions on art since forever and no one bats an eye, but someone spends that on a pokemon card and everyone loses their minds. Its just hard for us regular people to understand how much actual wealth is out there even among millenials who grew up with pokemon. A lot of money coming in has been from sports card people who made a lot of money doing sports cards over the years. A lot of money came in from people who got lucky on crypto and think they are financial geniuses now. A lot of money came in from people who make 6 figures or more and love pokemon. A lot of money got recycled back into the hobby from people who made a lot of money selling pokemon.

The alt art big daddy Ray VMAX is such a better artwork than the umbreon VMAX. I pulled the Umbreon before the Raydiddly and was not happy about it.
