However, I removed the original suction cups and replaced it with the pump suction cups.

Fantastic video!! What is your preferred method for extracting usable data for your client? For example extracting linework via a dxf that can be brought into CAD for drafting up a site plan.

Hey T3rdDC! So sorry for the late reply. My buddy Josh at AerologicSolutions who turned me on to your channel also turned me on to using Virtual Surveyor for any linework. I do very little of that but the free version of VS is very nice for that! But there is not doubt many other options out there. Love your channel!

How many GCP's did you use for that neighborhood when you drove around? Is it similar to the aerial with only like 3-6 being needed or did you use way more?

For this I was just showing the overall process of collecting the mobile lidar. The use of GCPs for mobile lidar is very dependent on what the data is being used for. If you are doing power line inspections to simply show the condition of the wires and any vegetation encroachment, then the use of GCP's may not be needed at all. If you are using the mobile lidar for Topo and Contour data, then they would absolutely need necessary to validate the data. One every 1/2 mile, maybe 1 mile would be needed? It all depends on your specs and end use of the deliverables. If you are fortunate enough to have turn arrows in the center lane those are awesome for Lidar control points. Any white and yellow stripping in the center lanes are very visible in the intensity view.

Any thoughts on which is better, RESEPI or the 200+ with respect to data quality, also have you had a chance at the rockrobotic R3 Pro?

That is on the to-do list in the next few days. Had a few people ask for that. Will provide a short video with links.
