    How did you do the bypass? Did you install yourself and have a video on how to do it? So many of us would love to know how to do this on our vehicles. Thank you! Love your setup!!!

    I found a great way how to connect the iPhone to the Cadillac took me a year lol but I found a way by accident. Now I’m able to hear pandora or watch CZcams or cable TV if you have the app on your phone. The only thing is I need to find a way how to bypass or you can’t watch the TV unless it’s on park . But you can hear the audio to perfection.

    i did the same idea in my escalade it is working fine
    two issues
    1) to much noise specially when i accelerate
    2) front screen disconnect while in motion

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 4 lety

      You need a bypass switch to unlock your screen while moving.
      Also, you need a filter or ground loop isolator to eliminate the engine wine. Check with a car audio store for the best isolator.... Lot of people use them on amps too so they should have them in stock.

    Can you stream with cellular (LTE) data? I tried and seems like I can only run it on Wifi. My cell service does not have hot spot capability.

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 6 lety

      rtang626 you have to have mobile hot spot or tethering with your service provider in order to use your phone to provide internet for a device like a Roku.

    • @YeepLife
      @YeepLife Před 6 lety

      Just curious but were you able to watch TWC TV while driving connected to your hot spot? Or, in your video, were you on your home network? Looks like i can view TWC TV only when I am parked in my garage and connected to my home internet, but cannot work when connected to a hot spot.

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 6 lety

      rtang626 I was able to at the time yes. I don't use the TW app anymore. I typically just use the Slingplayer app and my slingbox. Slingbox is connected to an extra cable box I have at home so I can watch all my cable on the road without bothering anyone at home.

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety

      +JG 3 I don't see why that wouldn't work. As long as you have the AV to HDMI converter installed, you can plug any HDMI device that you can power in there.

    Do you need to do anything to the Roku stick? Or is it good to go, right out of the box?

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety +2

      +Salvador Garcia No it's good to go. You just need to get all the other hookups done, get the RCA to HDMI converter installed, use your phone for mobile hotspot to provide internet to the Roku and it's good to go. Check out my other videos I have linked in the description above if you want to see how I have everything hooked up.

  • @bluegas101
    @bluegas101 Před 8 lety

    I got everything FINALLY hooked up. now I'm stuck on the roku stick. it goes to language set up, then wifi, then music and a black screen. ever had issues?

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety +2

      +Salvador Garcia Take the Roku in the house and set it up on your house wifi...get it like you want it, then connect it to your phone mobile hotspot while you are still in the house and test it out. Once you've tested it, you can then move it to your truck and it should automatically connect to your phone mobile hotspot unless it can pick up your house wifi it may connect to it instead.

      That could be your HDMI to AV converter, your switch is you're using one, your bypass switch.... Could be anything that does anything with the video to the screen. I didn't have to change any settings on my Roku or Android devices.

    I was wondering, where do you have your rca cables running to......the back of the console? or are they still hooked up to the Kenwood receiver?

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety

      They are still connected to my Kenwood switch under the passenger side carpet. The RCA cables run through a hole I drilled in the front of the bottom section of the arm rest (under the wood grain) and the wires run under the cup holders, to the right towards the passenger side and under the carpet to the switch.

      +ig0tgame this may be asking for much but can you send me a couple of pictures your console wiring? also, what do you think of using these loaded amazon fire sticks instead of the roku stick?

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety +1

      +George Jackson honestly, my console wiring looks terrible, but nobody sees it. I have another video on here showing how everything is hooked up, you should check that out. As for the Amazon sticks with Kodi... yea that should work just fine. I only use mine for Live TV and Time Warner, for some reason, didn't have a Amazon Fire TV app or I might would use it for that and Kodi.

      Lockpic is another popular one I believe. There are a few by-pass switches out there.

      @GameKollector  Před 8 lety +1

      +Societykidd 6p Just search on Amazon for "HDMI to RCA" and you will see multiple options of the little mini converter boxes. The particular one I bought isn't even listed on there anymore.

    Lost FoxFi when I upgraded to the s8. Hate my life now.

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 6 lety

      matt22blaster Most carriers (I'm with Verizon) allow your a certain amount of tether data per month depending on your plan. Verizon allows 10GB per month on their unlimited plan, which I'm on, so I don't even use FoxFi anymore. You could try to find the APK online though if it's not in the play store any longer.

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 6 lety

      matt22blaster I know on the new unlimited data plan, you get 10GB automatically for tethering so you just need to enable the phones hot spot toggle in the notification area. Just try turning it on and see what happens. It should check subscription then turn enable. You can turn it on from settings too.

    • @matt22blaster
      @matt22blaster Před 6 lety

      ig0tgame hell yeah! I'm still grandfathered in from the old unlimited plan, trying now

    • @GameKollector
      @GameKollector  Před 6 lety

      matt22blaster It might not work on that old grandfathered plan. I had that plan before switching to the new one which ended up being cheaper for my family. FoxFi is still in the play store though.... Does it not work on the S8?

    • @matt22blaster
      @matt22blaster Před 6 lety

      ig0tgame I gotcha. And and from the time I purchased the phone until last december it hasn't worked on s8. Havent tried since then. I've had to go as far as temporarily activating my old s4 when going on camping trips to use foxfi for my Roku and iPad. Total pain in the ass.
