When I found your video and found the same problem I was flabbergasted. I had the same problem.. I would have taken hours.. I would however like to mention… the tool you used to remove the door card was incorrect hence the reason for breaking clips Thanks for the post.

Great vid mate followed what you did, my blue wire had snapped. I've got a working window now. Great work mate.
Thanks for the video, I had 2 rear doors with wires parting, no central locking! Both fixed with new wire. So I suspected a broken wire for window - it was. You can repair without taking off all door card, just the bottom corner. Check if wire is broken first, then pull through and add connectors and new wire. Helps if you have tiny hands and patience to feed wire through rubber conduit!
Membrane left virtually alone and few broken studs. Thanks again
