    Wow thanks for the upload! I always like to view art books if I can before buying them (and deciding which I like best) so this was helpful!

    I currently don't have the money but I'm really into those artbooks as well! I totally get what you mean, it's so inspiring to see all those different artists~
    I love them so much :)
    12:08 isn't that Kuroko once again?

      The site says it's Kuroko and Aomine but then I'm like then who's the kid? It's doujin so maybe it's theirs but the guy with grey hair really doesn't look like Aomine to me. I trust the site tho so let's just say its' AoKuro and KiseKuro fanart lol

    aaaah perhaps i am a bit late here, but do you think you could tell me how trustworthy they are regarding how legitimate the items they sell are? i am so excited for an artbook i found there but the possiblity of it being a fake is nerve wrecking-

      Suruga-Ya only sells legit stuff, so you shouldn't worry about authenticity from them.

      Depends on the type of shipping you pay for. I explained it in the video.

    Awesome video!! I have a question if it not much of a problem. How do you buy on the site? You go directly to make an account or you go to another site or somerhing? Ive never bought with proxys or anything. Thank you in advance.

    • @grimgracious
      @grimgracious  Před 3 lety +2

      For this particular package I didn't use a proxy. I used the English website Suruga-Ya has and they do everything - same as any usual local shop. Calculated shipping and shipped it out and all that. Proxies are used to buy from shops that don't ship internationally, so the JP Suruga-Ya site or Yahoo! Japan Auctions, Amazon Japan, etc. You make an account with the proxy, use their site to add your item to your cart and pay for them to buy it for you. They then charge you to ship it out as well as any extra fees if you want them to repack multiple items into one shipment, better packing, etc. It's basically having a middle man. Forwarding services, which are a separate branch proxies may have, is where you make an account to the foreign site (if they allow) and buy it yourself, but it ships to the proxy and you just pay them for using their address and shipping it out to you.

    I've been wanting to buy some horimiya manga on that app but aren't for sure if it's the English version. Do you have any knowledge that could help.

    • @grimgracious
      @grimgracious  Před 3 lety +1

      If it's from Suruga-Ya it's almost guaranteed to be the Japanese copies. All the English site is is a way for non-Japanese buyers to purchase from them, but all their products are Japanese.
