Swedish Saffron Cake | Christmas Baking

    In today's video I am baking Swedish saffron cake, one of my favourite things to bake, it just tastes so good and the kids love it too. Recipe down below 👇

    Ingredients Swedish Saffron Cake:
    200g butter or margarine
    0,5g saffron
    2 eggs, roomtemperature
    270g sugar
    150ml milk
    240g flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    some powdered sugar for decorating
    Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
    Grease and crumb a cake pan/mold.
    Melt the butter.
    Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl.
    In another bowl, whip the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, about 7 minutes. Use a timer to make sure.
    Add saffron and the melted butter, mix. Add half of the flour, mix. Add the milk, mix. Add the rest of the flour, mix.
    Pour into the cake pan and bake in the lower part of the oven for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
