"A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple, and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy shoulders, to let him know the world hadn't ended"
Me too dude, I'm emotionally exhausted with Batman stories. Reading his stories, I'm infatuated with Batman but I can't stop. I want him to be in a different position. These stories share similar tones and shit, I really wish I could forget all these incredible pieces of art and watch them with a completely clear mind. Why is Batman such an excellent fictional character with such a rich history of adaptations? Why is he so always culturally appropriate? So resonant. It's because he's Batman. Just Batman.
“Everything about you tells a tale: your attitude, your costume, your tactics. They all scream of *OUTRAGE,DESPAIR,* of *VENGEANCE.* What terrible wrong was done to set you on this path?” “You know this is wrong. You must’ve been *a good man once.”* “No,not good *NEVER* good. “Nothing harms me. I know pain, *I KNOW PAIN* sometimes *I share it with someone like you.”* “You either *die a hero* or live long enough to see yourself *become the villain.“* “There is a *difference between* you and me. *We both looked into the abyss* but when it looked at us… *you blinked.”* *“We are criminals Clark, always have been.”* “WHEN THE MUGGER OR THE THIEF STOPS TO THINK TWICE, THAT’S *FEAR.* THAT IS WHAT *I AM”* These are my favorite Batman quotes
Sad you didn’t put “A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat on a young boy's shoulders to let him know that the world hadn't ended.”
"Since you indoctrinated Robin into crime fighting at the ripe age of nine." "Robin needed to help bring the man who murdered his family to justice." "So he could turn out like you?" *"So that he wouldn't."* *"The criminal who killed my parents was never caught. That's a burden I won't let Dick carry."*
I think it's not about his revenge ou not being able to do it, but everything be around it, English ins't my native language so I don't know if I can't pass the right message, but it's not about revenge, as it Batman today bring the man who murdered his parents it wouldn't be much effect as it not only damaged him, he stayed for much time with a open Wound, never closing just getting bigger and bigger until he finally was cured, but it was to late and the scar was too big now, and because of him Dick may have a scar, but not one as big.
“If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if no doubt one else can stop you, than you become something else entirely… A legend.”
*This is what it means to fight against the principality of darkness, not the flesh(people). All of you people don’t get it. You need to work hard to fix your heart into the right place, not some society standards.*
Although Batman is a fictional character this is probably helping me through the hardest point in life the pure hurt that this man goes through and his rise is something special ever since I was a little kid Batman and Spider-Man were my top 2 this edit and a hero's suffering are both amazing thank you for the nice work
That was everything. You captured his trauma, the speech with Owlman talking about Bruce's demeanour and tactics. And how you captured Batman's insanity whilst ending it with what is regarded as his anchor for sanity, his morality. Beautifully done
People like to argue that Batman not killing the joker causes so many other people to die, but if he did, Gotham would go to war taking trying to fill that power dynamic. Every choice you make, no matter how good the intentions are, will have consequences. It’s a hard decision to know what’s right to do, the punisher and daredevil had the same argument on the roof top, is it right to give people a chance or take it away. By killing someone, you don’t know what monsters or vengeance you can bring to the world, even though others will suffer and blame you for not making a different choice. There is no right answer. But I like the code of not killing, because he doesn’t want the suffering he had brought to someone else, and I think that’s noble. Why inflict the same pain you received to someone else? You have the power to break the cycle.
Heya! Sorry it's been 2 months since an upload, Christmas and everything but I'm currently working on another tribute to this character which I'm hoping will have much better overall quality. After that, I'll be doing more tributes for each batfamily member and villains too. Thanks for the patience!
batman is my favorite hero...and i got into edits alone cause i saw one for batman, i watched them alot just for the bat....i must say this is my favorite
From childhood, Batman has been the only character I’ve truly liked/loved. He was the perfect protagonist in my eye. Then I discovered Berserk. For the first time in my life, I found myself to like a protagonist like Guts, who isn’t all good like Bats is, simply because I found someone who underwent worse than Bats and still chose to fight and not give up. Every strong person and every true Batman fan should read berserk. It’s artwork is better than a gazillion coloured comic panels! I hope someone reads it and makes an edit like this, one that symbolises the actual character, way better than showcasing it as a simple hero with sad backstory.
What a great compilation of the greatest movies and shows. The true experience. Not inspiration, just who Batman is. Flaws and all. Kind of wish the Gotham TV show, The Batman 2004, and Telltale were included although the Telltale version is vastly different. I also like how most of these if not all aren't Kevin Conroy because that would be too easy. The DCAU Batman us interesting but so is this. So glad you put Owlman.
Cool montage & I’m happy you included Owlman in this too. HOWL long did editing take?! 😏 Hey, if you make more I grew up on TAS ones of Kevin Conroy, please use some of those & he deserves tribute fr!! Esp that I AM (k)NIGHT part! I’m sharing bc I feel it needs more algorithms & to be seen
Batman is an amazing person for staying out all night without sleeping and he is insane. Gets that insanity by his non sleeping experience man he gets only like 20-30 minutes of sleep.
Firstly at the age 12-13 I think about Batman was a SUPERHERO like the other heros & there stories but at the age of 15 I saw the DARKEST about BATMAN & that make to follow his ideology so i adapted his ideology in my studys then in the first year I got good g progressive grade I was sad but i think about him move and after 2 year I still don't have good grades but his ideology, struggle, discipline still kept me going on & give a HOPE not to give up....
To address the notion that Batman is considered insane--and the various commenters here who seem to embrace that notion... I introduce three non-Batman quotes: 1. " “The thing about smart people is that they seem like crazy people to dumb people.” -- Stephen Hawking 2.. “The only difference between genius and insanity is that genius has its limits.” -- Albert Einstein 3. "“Pain and suffering are always inevitable for a large intelligence and a deep heart. The really great men must, I think, have great sadness on earth.” -- Fyodor Dostoevsky Batman is not insane, though he gets extremely frustrated. Batman is acknowledged in various stories as the smartest man. Even Darkseid has verbally recognized it. Owlman, his multiverse counterpart, is considered the smartest man. Ozymandias is Alan Moore's Batman. The only individual who can understand Batman's self-limiting principles is Superman, but Superman is not a genius because his overwhelming powers allow him to become lackadaisical (analogously, many/most people allow calculators to diminish their math aptitude). Batman doesn't have any gimmicky superpowers--he has brains and developed skills--which also makes him the most relatable since many of us at least realize we *could* attain some measure of Batman's level. Batman has the deepest heart among all the superheroes to go along with his genius and his unyielding principles. Because of the overwhelming and unending pain he directly suffers. This grouping of character aspects makes Batman the greatest superhero of them all, and the least understood by his fellow superheroes and their villains.

Great. That is how it is supposed to go. Also, the vaccines are a trap and poison.
What we can all learn from Batman's experience: "Never stop fighting, never stop believing, never lose hope."

A fictional character can have real human qualities tho
It's what you taught me Alfred. "To do the right thing" .
--- Kevin Conroy's Batman from Arkham Knight.
“Goodbye, Alfred.”
As I wrote a long time ago... whatever you do, whatever you want to become, inside each of us there will always be a dark knight.
Nothing more and nothing less... than a dark knight. Shining.
"I AM THE ONLY ONE THATS GONNA GET WHAT HE WANTS TONIGHT!!!"
Batman is a border line villain - the villain that gives chills down the spines of the VILLAINs.
