Jesus Christ. That first minute or so is the best high gain tone I've ever heard.

what does pushed clean mean?
@@Telesko It means it's mostly a clean sound but if you pick harder or really dig in it'll start to distort. It's one of my favorite sounds for showing a lot of emotion and dynamics when playing clean

I liked the MZero. Sounded more meaty to me, might have been a volume thing though as the SLO sounded a little quieter. That part @18:36 had me vibin'

My favourite combo so far was the first one, there's something extra special about pairing the USA and UK sounds that I really love, they're just so complementary. For the next episodes, I'd love to see the Revv and / or and Orange amp!!

I watch a lot of people playing on CZcams and I have to say your one of the only people that play with heart that still matters to me there are hundreds that play guitar an as far as playing they go through the motions but I forget about them in a few minutes all I have is heart that's how I play that's all I've ever had was music I wrote my first song at 10 and from then I only played my own stuff remember no matter how famous you get don't lose what you have

Definitely the most modern sounding combo thus far in the series, very periphery-esque. And so far it's my favorite.
More Big Tones = God Tier Tone. Amazing, bro. Just amazing.
When I first Ran 2 kempers together with 2 STEREO 2X12 Gemini cabs for the TWO amp blend sound people thought I was nuts. It was only when I ran that all through the Mimic quad pedal that I should have been packaged and served as a snack (Nuts). The two amp sound is so easy to explore having two kempers, even high gain blends (trust me you can make it work). Clean amps blend VERY well, it's a whole other world, but having a kemper you can use a dumble and baseman etc, two amps really have something special when blended right. I got the mimic and many other tips from this great man and channel so cheers to all. TRY STEREO CABS, not just two amps.

Could you do an episode where you have two amps you think won't work together and make them work? Just so we know what actually doesn't sound good in your opinion and how to make things better when not working as you desire.

God this combo without the tube screamer is basically the dream high-gain tone - saturated, rich harmonics, growl and grunt, decent attack but not too choppy. Just... perfect

I love running more than one amp at a time in stereo the Tone is SO MUCH BIGGER and thicker sounding but when you add more amps the noise gate becomes a priority. I also like rolling back the gain knob but usually push them all for a over the top lead tone!!!
The distortion just sounds better without an OD in front of it. Like its more epic, more clear and depth.
I know, never got this insisance of putting an od in front of an already heavily distorted amp. Turns it into a sludgy mess

Hey Bea. I think that when you add the 808 you need to pull back on the gain of the amps. Because you already have a really aggressive sound, adding the drive on top of that is too much. Pulling back a little on the gain on the amps, putting them right on the edge of that aggression, when you add the pedal on top of that it'll push the amps to get a fierce and cutting sound without it sounding like mush and over the top. Idk that's my opinion. Take care man! 🙏
Sounded excellent to me! :) I also liked the 5150. I currently run an SLO 100 with a Mesa Stiletto Deuce II. My overdrive is an original Pro Co Rat.
I like the sound of EL34's and 6l6's together.

I totally get you on the feel thing with the pedal on/off. I have multiple versions of the same Nolly preset with tiny changes on the cabs for different inspiring frequencies. Some days I want more 4-6K focus, others I want more 8K, and weird days where I switch to the Dover whack all the boosts on for that 2K demon dog bark! To me that's the greatness of plugins is I get the luxury of always being able to tweak to whatever inspires me without having to do any work setting up other gear. But I know I have one of those James Hetfield/Misha Mansoor right hands I can't turn off the shoveling on the strings when the gain is going and having a gate for that is essential and all the muting technique.

Quite interesting! Definately digging this. Would be nice to see the classic Marshall JVM blended with a Mesa Dual Rectifier in a high gain mix setting, as that is the typical band mixture setup for many!

Happy to hear someone telling the truth : "I prefer without the tubescreamer !" Thank you !!! This boost kills legendary amps. I tried the Maxon 808 and the 820 too on my old Soldano SLO100 and my 2 channels Rectifier heads from the 90's : it is an heresy.
I guess depends on what you want to achieve. Although i agree with you big time.

Maybe Orange Rockerverb mkiii and a Friedman BE-100 delux. I think that is the current set up Jim Root uses in splitknot, not that I want Rabea to try and sound like them. I want to see what he can do with that kind of tone.

Normally any hi gain setting is always better with a overdrive, but this sounded better without
I like to mix two hi gain amps with ac30 on point of breakup, overdriven by copy of minotaur or 808. Pretty low volume in the mix, but it adds clarity and articulation to my sound. Try it;)
Clean guitar mixed with od makes me nauseas. Deeply horrible sound

He already did the Soldano with the 5150.
@@austinhackett8910 the first version Dual Rectifier had a cloned preamp section, but later versions have different preamps and all Rectos have a different poweramp design than the SLO100
Hearing the high gain i think the mezzabarba got more meat to it. Together is really reduncolous! So much gain my cat heard it and made a metal face!

I know they're nigh on identical in a lot of ways, but the 5150 and a 6505 might be interesting to see how they are similar and see what's different. Or maybe even a DSL100 and the Super Kraken? Would be cool to see something like the DSL100 in there as it is a more affordable amp and you can get some beefy tones out of it!
