BIGFOOT ENCOUNTER IN THE UPPER PENINSULA OF MICHIGAN | THAT WAS NO BEAR EATING THE BAIT BARREL!!!

  • Brett from Michigan had a possible Bigfoot Encounter in the Upper Peninsula while hunting with his family. Brett is sure that what he encountered was certainly not a bear! The creature was able to pick up on his presence despite the fact that he was extremely quiet and he had the wind in his face! Brett claims these creatures have senses that are out of this world! The creature followed him out after the encounter and Brett claims this is not typical of black bear behavior, especially after being spooked out of an area! Having grown up in the UP where most of my family still resides, even in the most populated areas..it is still so very remote. It is a pristine habitat for animals. People that live there are by nature always in the woods and on the lakes. Getting from one town to another takes you down lonely, forested roads that go for miles. It is a beautiful area. I appreciate Brett for sharing.

The UP is absolutely extremely changed. Our forest used to be dominated by white Pine and now it’s mostly hardwood. The landscape is not the same as it was hundreds of years ago it is not an untamed wilderness. There is practically no old growth forest left in upper mi. You can’t even get the most basic parts of your story correct.

When traveling north through West Virginia in 1969 when I was 13, I saw a large animal sitting (like a person) on a boulder on a hillside. It was about 75 to 100 feet from the highway. It had creamy-colored fur (which looked blonde to me). I pointed to it and excitedly told my parents, “Look at the bear.” They simultaneously said, “It’s not a bear.” So I asked, “If it’s not a bear, what is it?” My father sternly said, “It’s not a bear, Linda.” The subject was closed.

I was up in the UP and I drove into the porcupine mountain State Park and I immediately knew this forest was special. I didn’t do a lot of exploring. We just went to the gift shop and looked around because we were only visiting for our last day up there, but I’m sure that would be a great place to explore for Bigfoot evidence. It was such a deep dark forest. I love the feeling of the woods like that.

I can't stand when people say that. They really dont understand just how incredibly vast the wilderness areas are in their own country! There are so many places here where the forests are just so deep and dense that they have been untouched by people for centuries. Anything..or groups of anythings..could very easily hide and stay relatively isolated and undetected in our wilderness areas.

Second hand experience - but worth a mention. My husband’s barber was scouting Tuscola County MI state game land for last year’s deer season. The sun was just coming up. He found a hollowed out thicket he thought might make a good blind. As he crawled in he came upon what he thought was another hunter in a gillie suit. He apologized for interrupting him and asked if he’d had any luck spotting deer. The “hunter” didn’t respond, stood up and walked away through the heavy brush. The rising sun was in the barbers eyes as the “hunter” exited - he saw the massive silhouette - never saw its face. Horse owners in the same general location claim their horses are harassed on a regular basis by a big foot. I was checking on my horses late one foggy night - my barn backs up to woods - no lighting - something screamed close by - the heavy fog made it hard to tell what direction the scream came from - I froze. Could not hear footsteps or movement. The horses appeared unconcerned. I’m thinking it was an isolated bob cat encounter. When we first moved here I heard definite wood knocks from the back of the property - there is nothing back there but swamp - no houses until the next mile. Never find suspicious looking foot prints on my walks to the back corner of our 100 plus wooded acreage. But I am always cautious - always carry - in case of man or wild animals. Not for big foot. I believe. NEVER want to see.

When I was a kid in the 70's there was a lot of talk about someone seeing a bigfoot by the Cass river area north of 46. Relatives had a cabin on Cat lake and we were there and heard about it so we drove the dirt roads a bit looking. That's where my interest started with Bigfoot. There was a popular video of something crossing the river there a few years ago so yeah, sure could be some activity around

    Hi guys!
    Michigan fun facts….
Before European settlement in the 17th century Michigans 36.3 millions acres were covered by forest🌿
Today only half of that is forested due to logging in the 1850-1910s
Also we have one of the most visited old growth forests in the country.
Hart wick Pines State Park has a 49 acre remnant of original forest.
Could you guys imagine the mushrooms you would find there?🥰
Definitely on my bucket list! I’ll let you guys know when I go.

When I got married the first time, we’d honeymooned at a cabin on Whitefish Bay where the Edmund Fitzgerald sunk. My family has a place in the Western U.P. about 75 miles west of Marquette. About 15 years ago, we went up with a group in October to bear hunt. The trail back to the swamp where I planned to hunt was blocked with new dead falls, as was common every year. After spending a day clearing the dead falls, I put out a large bait site about a mile from camp consisting of various pastries and ice cream mix, and hung a trail camera to monitor it. After one day, I went to check the trail camera. On the way back to the site, I found it strange that several of the large dead falls that I had cut with a chainsaw and winched off of the trail were pulled back across the trail. Thinking that the guys in camp were responsible, I winched them back off the trail. I retrieved the card from the trail camera, and found it unusual that there were several pics taken, but nothing appeared in the pics...however the bait site was gradually getting smaller and smaller with each pic until all the bait was gone. So I had a pile of bait about 6 feet square that disappeared without getting a single pic of the culprit. I knew an animal was coming in because I could see large indentations in the mud and moss. Normally bears come in and spend several minutes at a bait, eating until they are full, and a cam will get several pics. I thought that I had the world's stealthiest bear eating my bait. I put more bait out and hung the camera again. After returning to camp, I questioned others about putting the logs back over the trail, and they all chuckled and said I was crazy, and nobody had been back to that area aside from me as everyone else was hinting in different locations in other directions. Very weird. Subsequent visits to the site to retrieve the camera resulted in the normal pics of bears visiting the site numerous times per day, and no logs pulled over the trail. So aside from that first very strange day, all trips to the site were quite normal. I ended up hunting that site during the week, and saw several bears but did not see one big enough to harvest. But the entire time I was in my tree stand, I felt very odd as if someone was watching me...kind of a permanent feeling of the hair standing up on my neck and arms...truly gave me the creeps, especially walking out the quarter mile in the dark to where my ATV was parked. To this day I'm reluctant to go back into that swamp alone. Not sure what the heck was going on...if not for the half dozen or so logs put back on the trail, I could attribute the camera issue to dumb luck...after all this was in the early days of trail cameras (flash, no infrared, long trigger time, etc.). But I just felt like something did not want me back there. I think after the commotion I made the first day, whatever was back there knew I was armed and decided to move on to a more secluded area.

I grew up spending summers on Drummond Island in the UP, in my family cabin, during the very early 2000s.
Nowadays there is an airport and it's a huge tourist destination, but it used to be almost untouched. We were used to black bears looking in the window when we were cooking breakfast, and you'd always look for them before going from your car to the general store/lumber mill.
Screaming coming from the trees is one of my scariest memories.
I've always looked for other stories from Drummond, but there were so few residents. I'm always hoping one of their grandchildren or relatives see my comments and share their experiences.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Sasquatch eating the bear bait was already well aware of who was putting it there. and as a result, he, or she would have always been on high alert when feeding. The mystery as to how it knew it was being observed, can be answered by the fact that they do not usually travel alone. and it is my reasoning that it was signal via ultrasound or other method only they know what that is, and it bolted when it got the sign or signal.

Also odd story for Detroit, one of the commenters, maybe on your channel someone says they saw a sasquatch climb out of one of the abandoned houses in Detroit in the area where acres upon acres are destitute and rundown. It's probably changing now for redevelopment however that would've been some five or seven years ago or more. If that's true it wouldn't be too unexpected as large swathes of Detroit remained vacant and void of human activity for years.

Mr Brett this might sound nutty,
but when you're back at your land.
Speak out loud let them know you're there that you wish to see one ..
Sense you smelled that smell you've been marked.
idk how it seems a whole lot of folks that have smelled them seem to have multiple encounters. Whos to say that smell hasn't marked you for life . Good luck . I really hope you get the chance to see one once again.. 🕊️

Apologies that this post has nothing to do with the video above, so I'll start by saying thank you for another great video Miguel!
But my question is, have you ever taken a look at Sonny Vator's videos? I know you've had an encounter before and seen the big guy so I was wondering if you had an opinion about the subject of his recent videos and the clarity of the subject and if it matched your own sighting. I think everyone who hasn't seen the big guy wants to know what their face looks like so a lot of folks are rightly skeptical when they see any evidence of the face at all. I also wanted to know your opinion on "Patty." Although it's likely you've already shared your opinion before but I myself have only heard and maybe caught a glimpse of a dark hairy figure but never a clear sight of one up close so it's always been a mystery to me. Cheers from Kentucky!

I’m actually the love slave of a Sasquatch every four days I have to go in the woods so Sasquatch can play with my dingdong. Female Sasquatch are hyper sexually active. If I don’t go in the woods and meet with her, she will come and break my windows and pull me out of the house and have her with me… it’s really scary but she’s actually very kind and tender and she’s got some big knockers so I really don’t mind. They don’t really talk like us so she can’t tell me her name. Her name is kind of a squeak and a squawk. She came by last week and brought with her four children that look like they could’ve been across between a Sasquatch and a human…. I think I have 4 1/2 breed Sasquatch human children.
