Changing a pendant light from plug-in to hardwired

If you have a plug-in light that you would like to switch to a hardwired, hanging light, then you have come to the right place. I walk you through the process.

There are lots of wire strippers out there. I try to stick with reputable brands and Irwin is a decent, homeowner-quality brand. This stripper also has a crimper which can be useful and the price is reasonable. amzn.to/3Z4wWZP

thank you for this! I just moved into a new apartment which has the ugliest builder-grade pendant lighting in the dining room (which is also not centered! grrr). I knew, conceptually, that I'd be able to replace it with my favorite plug-in light I got from a thrift shop, but really wished I could watch someone do it first to get some confidence. Good thing I did, I didn't even think about the medallion/cover plate! So glad I found your video.
