Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. It's actually sickening and super chilling how she switches up her act, one second she's staring him down, the next second she's traumatised by a text, literally the next second she's "laughing" with her lawyers, then switches back to being shocked then she's sniggering. Everything about her is so insincere.
the way that she constantly stares at the camera bothers me a lot too. she knows she’s being watched and almost revels in it despite saying that this is a painful event for her.

I’m coming back to all this as during the actual trial I couldn’t watch only listen. I work in mental health..classic NPD. I find it chilling and ur right…victims do not stare down their abusers or smirk.

When I was a juror in a criminal case, I looked at the defendant the whole time when the victim testified. I hope this jury is doing the very same. She's disgusting.

When a witness takes the stand, he/she swears an oath to tell "the truth; the WHOLE truth; and nothing but the truth." When these attorneys keep cutting off the witness's attempt to tell the WHOLE truth, by cutting their answers off after "yes" or "no," they are not being given the opportunity to tell the WHOLE truth.

Notice how at the start of this trial she was not smiling but tried her best to look like she’s about to cry. Then she noticed that people online thought that it was too much acting and people thought that johnnys smile here and there looked genuine. Yes.. in fact the younger male lawyer on her right always seems nervous and scared like he is embarrassed of how they look in the public eye. You can tell that he is the only sane person in the group, and we all saw her a few times ignore him when he tries to kiss her when she enter the court room. I have a feeling that he will leave the firm after this trial.
In other words, Heard's psychologist gave her every tool she needed to lie about ipv. How is that not a serious breach of ethics?

I like hearing Dr. Curry speak. She sounds like she knows what she's talking about. She's very thorough. Dr. Hughes testimony came across very biased and not nearly as intelligible IMO.
It was so whiney as well. I found so many of her witnesses hard to bear listening to. The mad psychiatrist especially was so cringe and painful he was literally freaking out and having a word salad. I guess narcs attract narcs

Im not in favor of Amber heard, but Camille went waaay harder and was a lot more abrupt than amber’s lawyer here. I feel bad for this lady and I think she did a good job refuting in this instance
By the way… this is in reference of her cross examination of Johnny’s psychologist witness (her rebuttal). I haven’t gotten to the full length of the TMZ lawyer yet
I've been watching videos of people who have been in the court room over the course
of this trial, and their input on the "vibe" between the defendant and her lawyers is quite sad. Elaine has been seen "crying" multiple times over the past few weeks. And they say that when Amber and her team are outside the courtroom (in the hall/lobby) that there is so much "tension" and "negativity". Her lawyers all appear to be "walking on eggshells" around her. She is often seen yelling and cursing at her lawyers and at one point, a few people have reported that they heard Elaine say to Amber something along the lines of, "I'm doing my best! You are more than welcome to represent yourself if you're unhappy with the job I'm doing."

Listening to Johnny Depps last words on the stand, before being cross examined, gutted me very deeply. You can see and hear the pain he went through. I pray he will get the peace and justice he waited for for so long, he deserves it so much! What a wonderful human being, there should be many more like him. 🙏
JD said he wanted to file for divorce first and then Amber filed the next day to get the limelight and to make the public think she was deciding to leave him due to violence, what a con woman she is and I trust the Jury will see through her charade.
I really hope the jury was watching Amber💩‘s reactions/laughing/eye rolling and intensive note taking during Johnny’s testimony today. She makes me absolutely sick.

I can’t imagine what’s it’s like to have already been constantly defending yourself against accusations, being told to stay quiet by your abuser, belittled, and embarrassed by your partner; only to have to keep defending yourself when you are testifying about something you lived through only to constantly have objections being thrown all over. Johnny is holding hisself up way better than I would be. Must be so frustrating to finally get a chance to talk about it and be shut down so much.
This could be a whole documentary with Johnny and his witnesses. They could name it " surviving heard " or something an be able to actually tell their stories uninterrupted.

I was thinking that too. When you finally think this is your chance to speak out about the horrors that you had to endure and a chance to clear your name, your constantly being made to shut up. The judge didn't help by sustaining every single objection ( and there were an awful lot of them!) Even when it clearly wasn't hearsay or whatever.

The testimony by Mr Neumesteir was powerful. If the event was so significant, why did you delete the original photos and submit the 3rd Generation of Backup photos?
What’s most telling is that the photos were clearly edited for colour, and Heard’s team silenced him on talking about photos edited for colour.
They are scared the lot of them will be incriminated for tampering with evidence.
I don’t have a direct source but it’s my understanding she refused to turn over the phone. So all they had was back up of back up. Seems pretty shady that she would be unwilling to turn over her phone.

It's kinda fascinating to see how Amber's behavior in court evolved during the trial in my opinion. For a long time she always had the same cold face expression that was trying hard to look sad but felt completely fake or was writing notes as if unfazed by anything that was happening. At some point she started to occasionally hug her attorney and look a bit more friendly when greeting them like Johnny was but it never felt real to me. Other then that she remained stone cold even when what should be very triggering images, videos, audioclips and messages were shown.
At this point she's trying and failing to copy Johnny's behavior in court of him chatting and smiling with his attorneys but like she did on stand she's overplaying the role or doing it at inappropriate moments. She also keeps abruptly switching between that, her emotionless expression and furiously taking notes. But the oddest part to me is how she's at times acting as if she was one of the lawyers going through files and writing sticky notes.
Now that's just my impression but I rarely ever felt anything genuine in her behavior. I rather feel like she's trying to present a certain image but there's always something off that doesn't feel right, more like she keeps changing according to what image she thinks could be favorable. Ultimately in a trial where so much is about credibility I think her controlling nature only hurt her case.

It sure was! I was highly impressed with Dr Currys rebuttal. She knew all of the tests that the other expert administered without needing any notes, and was able to speak to each tests' purpose in a manner any layperson could understand.
And then AHs side was the complete opposite and then blame the jury and the world for not siding with AH! Absolutely insane!
Amber's attitude changed dramatically as the end of this trial approached. She went from sad, innocent virgin Mary to a malicious, conceited brat.

Insulting a professional with 42 years of experience in saying that he dosn't have an "education" is just blatantly rude and disrespectful. In these digital fields there are many many people without an education directly pointing towards the work you actually do and have done for decades. I have a long education as a 3D modeler and many of the people i work with have not, they have experience, and experience that is vastly more complex than my education. To be quite frank, my education is not worth the paper it is written on compared to these high powered specialists that still amazes me every day i go to work. Everything Ambers lawyer said after that remark was obsolete to me.
I would say for someone who is a victim of DV, looking directly at the abuser will give discomfortness and pain as signs of trauma. The way AH stares at JD for a long time throughout the trial with that expression clearly shown no sign of that at all. Instead she looked intimidating. I hope the jury catch that.

I hate that his team missed an extraordinary opportunity to prove her a liar. The photo of the table with the liquor and cocaine she claimed he left like that....she clearly stated that he left it like that the night before and she woke up to that. She also testified that he kept the liquor that was in that glass in the freezer. So if all of that is true, then there is no physical way that the glass with the liquor in it would still be frosted on the outside! That liquor was clearly poured right before the photo was taken!!
One of the worst lies for me in this case was her denying what she did to his finger. Johnny never wanted to be an actor in the beginning. His love was purely music. He loves playing the guitar and being a musician. It wasn’t till later when Nicholas cage told him he should audition for a role in a film that he went and landed it immediately because of his discovered acting talent and his life transformed into becoming one of the best actors in the world. But he never stopped playing music and doing gigs, selling out venues and arenas with his band. He WOULD NEVER EVER “chop” his finger tip off and chance never being able to play the guitar again. What a complete liar she is. !!!!! She is a a disgrace and a pathological liar!!!

Earlier in the trial, Johnny Depp talked about the value of stillness in acting and how Amber Heard lacked this quality. This trial showed us that Amber is lacking this quality in real life too. Johnny’s stillness is powerful; makes him believable and easy to connect with. On the other hand, Amber’s overacting and histrionic behaviors are making her unbelievable and very difficult to connect with.

I love it when things fall into place- when things go the way they are supposed to, and justice is served. I watched the trial as it was happening and I was thrilled with the credible witnesses Johnny's team brought in- especially the last few days. Thank God for Morgan Night and Morgan Tremaine. Amber and her team never saw them coming, and I loved it! Rottenborn had such an unhappy look on his face and Elaine seemed to be scrambling to trip them up somehow.
I love the fact Kate Moss testified. I love the fact that Johnny showed how she takes an innocent remembrance he shared with her and she turned it into a lie to try to excuse her violence towards him.
