just had a quick question and was wondering if you had any tips on
how to record vocals with low latency monitoring turned on and still hear your inserts I know in the mixing tab of preferences there’s away to still hear your sends
I’m running into a issue with delay while recording with effects on and I know to make sure my Hw buffer size is set low
I’m using Apollo twin interface and the latest version of pro tools on a MacBook
(I’m also having latency even when no plugins are on)
When I turn on low latency monitoring the latency stops but then the artist can’t hear their effects while recording
Please advise if you can

is there a way to get rough mixes via online or some other way and practice on those?
i make beats, record friends (who are not great lol) or record myself for the soul purpose of just having something to mix and get the reps in.
is there a way to skip all that and just have a resource where i can download the beat and vocals and practice mixes that way?

The way I see it, there are two types of engineers. One who is practicing and may be profiting, then the other who does it solely for a not just a living, but an actual comfortable one.
One of these guys says Grammys mean nothing, the other did the work to meet the criteria and has at least been nominated as a product.
Oh only if you knew! It makes for good business, yes! But you can easily see through the BS...It's 2024, wake the fuck up! We don't care. I care about the guy behind the Grammy fuck the Grammy. I love mixing and mastering but honestly don’t like the idea of being a slave to their sound and bringing no creativity of your own into it and just make their shitty decisions less shitty
