The best thing for you to do is to be by his side and be proud of what you have with him. It will validate that it is more than just being used. This is how stolas failed. Stolas hiding his face showed blitz that stolas was ashamed of him that what they had to did not mean it. Blitz had feelings for stolas small but he was happy. Felt accepted and stolas validate not the feelings that were good but all of blitz self doubt and that he is unlovable. Then blitz put walls up to push stolas away and protect his heart
