Amazing show 10/10!!! Netflix please don’t cancel it!!!!!
up and up lads
up 😭🙌🏻
Knowing netflix, this won't make it past this season, and if that's the case, I'm canceling my subscription. I'm tired of them releasing an original series, not promoting it, and when it doesn't rake in the viewership, they cancel it. Just like teenage bounty hunters and Imperfects before this. You can't not promote something and expect it just to pop off like Stranger Things. It's annoying.
Honestly, The Sandman and Dead Boy Detectives are two of the best supernatural fantasy shows out there ever since Supernatural came to an end
Can't find it now, but there was an interview where the boys' wardrobe did have intentional changes, according to the ghosts' state of mind. Obvious was Charles' shirt which was just reddish magenta in Episode 1 and by Episode 5 it was almost black until the black pinned jacket was replaced with a plain, dark red one by Episode 8.
Because I loved Lockwood and co so much I gave this show a go but now I love this one too. Netflix better not cancel this otherwise I give up😢
I finished the show in 1 go, like where's the season 2 ??
I agree! The show is aces! Netflix, DO NOT CANCEL this show after 1 season!!! PS: I’m still butt-hurt over Lockwood & Co…
for me, it was Lockwood & co and the bastard son and the devil himselfelf
We are, too! You could help us try and save it by going to the website link in our bio. Good luck to you and the rest of the Dead Boy Detectives fandom. I hope you guys don't have to go through what through Lockwood and Co fandom has gone through!
I loved the first season and hope we'll get to see more characters from Sandman cross over.
I NEED SEASON 2 SO BAD
imo it already crossed over or better yet made itself known it is in the same universe @ sandman. U had Death in the first episode and another of the Endless makes an appearance in the show. The DPDA appearing in Sandman...yea I agree it would have to make sense. They are two tonally different shows.
this really reminds me of lockwood and co.
that’s cause i think lockwood and co is a rip off cause the dead boys detectives started off as a comic book
@kelseyclem541 only the trailer the show is completely different apart from a few similarities they are both really food
@@kelseyclem541and lockwood and co started of as a book back in 2013
@@moondaughter1004 the comics for the dead boy detectives came out in 1991
two good series, I hope Netflix renews DBD at least 😭😭
I totally only thought of Sam and Dean and Supernatural when I saw the trailer for this
Dream could probably give Monty a body of his own... maybe.
I just like Monty. Hope he comes back. lol
They are so hot
Why do ghosts need clothes?
Confused me at first since they already introduced the dead Boy detectives on Doom Patrol. Now they completely recast the characters and changed the whole format around.
While they're based on the same DC Comics characters, it's a just a different universe. Same reason why Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) from the "Lucifer" series differs from Lucifer (played by Gwendoline Christie) from "The Sandman" series, even though both are based of the same character.
Doom Patrol was on HBO. Dead Boy Detectives was originally gonna be on HBO but they sold the rights to Netflix. They can't use the same actor cus copyright reason so they had to recast
SEASON 2 PLZZ (TT)
The story started so interesting, but after three episodes 1/3 of the story line until last episode 8 is about gay boys and lesbian women, the acting and directing gets very poor and cheap, low budget, but over-fantastic (like Buffy) with some parts reminding on Sandman. Some main actor changing by episode 7 and 8. Therefore, after half of the season: forget it. Sorry for the good story intentions at the beginning.
