- What's an Overload relay !? Thermal/Magnetic overload relay is a sensory device works with a contactor that protects a motor from Continuous high current draw and will allow a non-dangerous temporary overload such as a high current flow condition during starting. However, it will turn off the motor if a current is high enough to cause motor damage over time.

I'm Mohamed an automation engineer with 5 years of experience in Electrical engineering .
I worked at different projects like CNC, ROV, Arm Robotics.
On my channel we 'll learn together about all industrial automation stuff like
Relay logic control (Classic control), PLC Programming, HMI,
Scada and electrical safety, and other stuff.
Hope we learn in an easy and funny way ✌🏼
Cheers
Great explanations!!
If I could add one scenario of causes of Overload. I’d say that a plc could tell the motor to switch directions when it’s already power in one direction. If the program doesn’t tell one condition (forward) to stop before attempting to go (backward) then certainly overload can occur.
Thank you for sharing Ryn !
Wow thanks your so nice explanation.
Pretty nice. Thank you
perfect -thank you
Great explaination keep it up 👏🏻
Well explained.....

Please advice I need to stop motor at 1 ton lifting condition.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you.
May i know the size of contector and type of overload relay
The NC and NO auxiliaries on the Overload. When and how do they operate ?
See part 2 and 3 of overload
