Man, I sure love these old westerns. I was brought up w/ westerns. My father loved westerns. These westerns were enjoyable . No horror killings & foul language . We all join father watch these movies. I still see the ol' Western. Loved Rex Lease & Tom Tyler.
Really enjoy the old time westerns. Doesn't have the bad language, so we can watch as a family. Need more of them.

They kept calling the character Jimmy "son" or a "kid" or a "boy." Rex Lease, the actor playing him, was 33 at the time! Tom Tyler was 6 months younger.

I know Tom Tyler won a number of AAU boxing championships and competed in the Olympics as a weight lifter. In those days when they wanted an action star, they didn't hire a personal trainer for an actor, they often went out and got a world class athlete.

There are people who are "quick" and "sudden" to answer even to casual remarks which they decide to take exception to, more likely with a "sudden bullet" than with a word of retort. It was especially so in Old Western Times in the boom towns that had not yet been tamed.
I suspect this is that which the producers of this movie were referring to, back in the '30's, especially when they were looking for "snappy Titles" for the books and movies they made. "Fast to fly off the Handle", so to speak.
