It really amazes me how I went from an average life to earning $48,500 every 2 weeks. all thanks to Sherman Williams Trading.. I don't know how he does it but he definitely makes it possible, I believe in him
“I’ve said the word twenty so many times it doesn’t even sound like a real word anymore so I’m going to have a nap or something”, this is the best outro ever.
When I heard on the news this morning that the new £20 note was issued, I thought to myself Chris is going to have a new video today. It seems I was right.
So guys, we did it, we reached a quarter of a million subscribers, 250,000 subscribers and still growing the fact that we've reached this number in such a short amount of time is just phenomenal, I'm-I'm just amazed. Thank you all so much for supporting this channel and helping it grow. I-I love you guys... You guys are just awesome.
Great, so now I am going to lose a fortune when they stick together due to static charge and bounce out of my pocket.. Horrible things.. Still the chances of having 2 at once are getting slimmer by the day.
Chris, at first when I saw one of your videos for the first time, I did not think that it is going to be much. But man did I fall in love with your channel.Life is about exploration and doing what you love.Trying to make the planet a better place. And with your cat videos, with your travel, money ones and the plastic video, you show all of that.I cannot explain how much I love your channel. You are definetly underrated and deserve more respect.
A quote from the Bank of England website explaining why the Queen's portrait is still of her when she was younger and has not been updated: "Today’s notes use the same portrait of the Queen that has appeared since 1990... The familiarity of this portrait helped create a sense of continuity when the Bank of England began printing notes on polymer in 2016. It’s a timeless image of a monarch who has been a feature of our banknotes for generations. "
So why does Gibraltar and Canada and the rest of the Commonwealth use a recent portrait, they’ve obviously all updated the portrait from a younger one? It’s surely the same scenario.
Libertarian Infidel As somebody who works in a bank, i handle these daily. They are extremely nice to handle and easier to count fast than paper notes as there is no friction between them. They also last a lot longer. You're poorly mistaken.
Has anyone noticed that she was 59 when the portrait was taken, in the middle there are 5 20s and on the right there are 9 20s which would say 59 and all told to us in 20s on the note! I can't be the only one who noticed this??!
Well done on mentioning the raised text, a commonly overlooked security feature. I was first told about that by a Bank of England employee some decades ago; and to this day it remains the most effective, discrete, and quick method to check the notes you have been given (as change in a shop, at a bank counter, or from a cash point).

I have been waiting for these notes since the release of the new 5 pound note... also a couple months ago my family got a year old tabby cat named Twinkie! I'll send some pictures to you soon... he is such an amazing cat! Can't wait to share him with you
How I LOVE all your videos, Chris. You teach this American guy a great deal about your nation's bank note currency and coinage. I love these instructional videos as much as I love your videos about animals, perhaps a bit more than I love your videos about your expeditions, which, by the way are of very high and entertaining quality as well. Thank you for all the work you do on all these videos.
You made it just in time! Personally I've always found the new British bank notes to be rather aesthetically pleasing? Pretty? Missing the right words here. That may also be because bank notes mean holidays to me! And British holidays have to be one of the best kind! Thank you for all the detail you put into these videos. They're a calming breath of fresh air!
Several of the Scottish banks, including The Royal Bank of Scotland, issue £100 banknotes. A good nickname would be "ton note" I suppose! Its surprising, really, that with the price of everything nowadays that £50 and indeed £100 notes are not much more common in regular circulation. Unless its a big store or supermarket, shops generally don't like them. Its weird, because the Adam Smith £20 note was far more likely to be a dud/faked than a large denomination note.
Sounds a lot like the American $1000 note. We do have a $100 dollar note that used quite a bit, but mostly $10’s and $20’s. There’s always been a mystery behind the 1000 dollar note and wether or not banks really use them to make money transferring easier.
@@datoneslav6902 OK, fair enough. The word 'fiver' means £5 and 'tenner' means £10. I thought Americans actually use the word fiver for $5, but perhaps not everyone uses that word.

in both Northern Ireland and Scotland we have £100 bank notes, these are issued by commercial banks which circulate alongside the normal bank of england bank notes and are of the same value as them

When the last £20 note was released, I made a ridiculously high resolution scan of it and I remember the Epson driver (pre Internet) informing me that I needed to seek the permission of the bank of England if I wishes to use the Image.. (Eek) I also noted the words "Twenty pounds" micro printed many many times (I thought it might be a good way to win free drinks in a pub by betting people that they couldn't guess how many times the note SAYS TWENTY POUNDS ON IT - but I always lost count)
You could maybe do a video on Scottish and Northern Irish notes. Northern Ireland has 4 Banks that issue notes and Scotland has 3. So there are many other UK notes you could show, and not just the Bank of England ones.
I'm hoping £50 notes will become more widely used and accepted when they come out with the polymer versions, as the biggest reason most shops and services refuse to take them is fear of counterfeiting in a note that's high value and rarely seen. The polymer version's increased security should stop this being a problem, and equivalent denominations are present and widely used in most other currencies, making sterling a bit of an outlier in this regard.
