- It was the 14th year of two-day music festival PARAR JALSA 2019 organised by Lake Avenue Sebak Sangha, Kolkata. The second day of the festival was ended with this particular performance by a doyen of Indian Classical Music Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty consecutively.

It's one of the best abhogi I have ever heard. Typical Carnatic Raga yet reveals its elegance and divine touch in Hindustani. I am fully engrossed into the expansive and exhaustive sangathis with varied depth and width depicting the true essence of Abhogi in its true perspective. Abhogi, the raga that will instill confidence enriched with courage and conviction, is well sung by the singer. An amazing and most scintillating traditional presentation of Abhogi time to reckon with. My pranams to the musician

Bahut khoob. But if u try to use excessive sargam using merukhand it becomes all mechanical. Use natural flow of Raag Aabhogi. It is a serious raag.It requires more alaap to sweeten its seriousness. Bandish in Jhaptaal is more sweet.
