So slow for 420bhp. I had a manual M140i with just a stage 1 remap and it did 9.1 100-200
Focus RS has a lot of drivetrain loss with the AWD system.

It's because the power falls off at about 5 to 5.5k like on its face idk if a tune helps but they almost make power like a diesel not good for top end actually faster to short shift at least stock tune anyways

I did a corrected 12.46 sec 100-200 with my 345 Hp Focus ST Mk4 Wagon :D I know Mk3 Rs a bit slow because bad wheel power output but this car is not having 420 Hp at these 11.XX- 12.XX runs.

12.4s ? 100 to 200 is damn slow for 420hp my mps with fwd manages almost 3s below and with same power (dragy validated)
These were always slow in 100-200 because of that AWD system, it's pretty good when it comes to shuffling power around but it also means it's pretty complicated and introduces a good amount of extra drivetrain loss.
The gearing doesn't seem to help either, they look geared towards lower speeds.
I also had an Focus RS and i can confirm that the 4wd drivetrain eats a lot of power like from the Stock 330hp(yes 20hp less then claimed) around 200hp reached the wheels.
It was so slow and needed a lot of rpm, that something goes forward, Ford was not willing to fix that, thats why i sold it and i am happy now with m135i xDrive f20.

Not exactly. infiniti G37S 330 hp AT, rwd can do it in 14 s. Considering RS is MT, awd it is heavy and has more power lost. So it seems to be true.

1.26 there is half tank and 85km later almost empty 😅 Car was very nice and fun when i tested same model and no tune, but small tank and consumption is wild when flooring it😂
Being an owner of a dyno verified 450hp / 580tq to the wheels RS, i will tell you that's maybe 420hp at the crank. That's slow.
These cars are all crank hp, prob running like a wack revo tune or so😂
It seems going like an upgrade to exhaust, air filter, blow off valve. No way 420 hp this thing.

My Mosselman tuned 2014 BMW Z4 35is has less power, 405HP and 603Nm, but I've done 100-200 in 9,36 sec, Dragy verified.. Pretty efficient car with DCT.. Makes the difference I guess..

Because they’re still heavy asf for a hatch back, and suffer REALLY bad from drivetrain/trasmission loss. The sts are much quicker if tuned. But not round corners. RS’s are crazy in the bends
That's mostly because of the complicated AWD system which introduces lots of drivetrain loss.
So you're basically saying you were glad to swap brands so you could get a pitiful Haldex system instead.
RS cars are not straight line cars, it excels in cornering. An 1800kg skoda wont do that. RS mk3 has pretty bad gearing. ST mk4 is faster than the RS due to that. Non the less, comparing a dsg vs manual is also wrong... Dsg already has the next gear ready and spinning before its even in action. Cant outshift any auto trans with a manual. 50 hp arent that much difference when you breakdown each aspect of a car of what makes it fast or slow. Theres a lot more than just numbers on a paper...
@@mattsson265 my st absolutely laughs at rs’s. The st is much quicker in a straight line (when tuned) and mines only 300bhp and 555nm. But round a track or b-road would be different. But straights they have no chance. And I know from experience
@@euan7260 Sounds like u have an ST mk3 fully bolted stage 3. I also had a stage3, tuned by stratified via cobb. Such a fun car. Unfortunately, I'm kind of allergic to rattle sounds and I had a couple of them, one horrible somewhere in the center console. Creaked everytime i made a not too hard break. Tried to chase them down but after 6 years i got tired of it.
Traded it in for a full specced Audi S5 V6. Made me realize that the Ford was a fun car. I wouldn't go back tho, it's hard to beat the quality of interior, doesn't even creak when I press on the plastic, big difference in comfort even with 20" wheels compared to 18" and lowering springs. Torsen AWD is just magic.
Can't beat the Ford when it comes to performance to money ratio tho.
Sure these weigh 1600kg from factory. Only making 1.5 ish bar on pull boost is this even tuned?
Yea it is... Normaly its 1.0/1.1 bar and peak at 1.55 bar when @ 6000rpm

thats a joke, got a 425hp mk3 RS and I can't see any modifications to that car that would suggest it has 420hp, if thats an aggressive tune without new cooling, airfilter, exhaust then get your money back bud and go to a more reputable tuner. I do 0-100 in 4,3 100-200 in 9 dead

My M140i did 100-200 1 second faster when it was stock. And it had 340hp. So around 80hp less😅. When it was stage 1 and had around 430hp, it did 100-200 in 8.7 seconds. This Ford is slow af.

A typical Ford. Massive underperformance and heavily exaggerated factory claims. This car never even remotely has 420ps. A new Golf R will outperform this thing in every situation. I hate it that American car manufacturers are so dishonest when it comes to performance claims.
It’s not standard, it’s modified and most likely the tuner lied about its figures to sell the tune.
