congrats on the tesla! pro tip, if you wanna legally test the acceleration out good go out at a not too busy time and use a merge lane onto a highway. you can go from 0-65 or what ever your speeds are there
That’s how I got my last ticket I merged on the freeway at 80mph and cop got me at the next exit

Question, shopping for a model y performance. Is it really necessary? The one with the black wheels almost looks like it? Is it worth it to spend the extra money?
I know the new cars have the $7500 tax credits but would it make sense to look at a used car that already has the full self driving capability which is a 12k add on? And get the used car for less money?
if you get used it has to be 2020-2021 and u should get up to 4,000 tax credit. california we get 2000 and san Joaquin valley we get another 3,000 but not sure if those last two qualify if its used. But yeah just make sure the FSD transfers to the new owner aka you because i heard of them not transferring add-ons a few years back. dunno if they changed that or not. id make sure to get oen with manufacture warranty which is 50k and the battery is 100k if it has a degradation of 70% capacity retention or less remaining.

Hey, we just picked up our second 2024 Performance Model Y and it makes a different sound that our other one when putting it in reverse (no not the alien sound, it happens before that) does your Peformance do this? I will make a video of that sound.
It makes a louder noise when it first goes into reserve that sounds like humming and gets louder based on the pedal input

@@MrCentralDriver Our recent acquisition includes two Performance Model Ys: one Grey and one Blue. Initially, the Grey Model Y exhibited acceleration akin to our previous Model 3 Dual Motor (approximately 4.0 seconds 0-60 mph) and emitted a similar sound when reversing, akin to the Model 3. However, upon receiving the Blue Model Y, we observed a louder and more pronounced sound when reversing, along with noticeably faster acceleration, closer to the expected 3.5 seconds 0-60 mph. Any thoughts?

My brother got his fixed after that deer decided to run in front of him… I’ve just ridden in it with a crazy person driving so…. I know the acceleration. Looking forward to driving it soon. His wife was the one that wanted it but he admitted he loved driving it. Just got to avoid the wildlife in the future 😂

You should add a practicality test on ebike reviews from now on, especially foldable ones on how they fit in the boot. Given the Y's sales, its very likely people who own one will want an ebike.

Do Teslas lose half their power when the voltage drops 50% like ebikes do?
they don't lose half their power no but people that drag race them notice 90% down to 50% they might notice a 0.5 1/4 time difference
I wouldn't mod it till it's out of warranty. If I lived somewhere with charging stations I would get one. Congrats like the color.

Yep I have a Tesla wall charger at home installed
The only thing I dislike are the larger low profile wheels. They decrease range and are easy to get flats with which can also damage the wheels. And because the tires don't stick our farther than the wheels curb rash is way easier. Plus I don't like that it's lowered, something they don't do anymore with the Performance Model 3. A lowered car just gets your front end scrapes.
Now don't get me wrong I want the quickness of the Model Y performance but I want better range too. Wish Tesla had an 18" wheel option.
But honestly filming yourself speeding on a residential road isn't cool or safe.

Make sure to precondition the battery for maximum acceleration.
I’ve seen people do that while at the track. How come they just don’t add a preconditioning button on the display.
@@MrCentralDriver Abstract Ocean has what they call S3XY Buttons. One of those can be set to just automatically start the preconditioning. They have an app for it that will show when the battery temperature is at the optimum performance. It would be nice if Tesla would just offer something like this.

This is a demo car, pink demo sticker on the screen and the paper floor cover telling “ thank you” on them… I drove many of them
it had 5 miles on it
Mine came with a pink sticker and only had 7 miles when I picked it up
My Model Y Performance is 2022 white with black interior & I still love it very much because it's a sexy looking E car. I don't know why Tesla doesn't include sensor around the car anymore for the new 2023 moving forward models. I guess Tesla reduced the price so much, they decided to take out something to make up the price they lost. It's like giving you a great deal but they decided not giving you 4 wheels just to make up the loss they offered. So you are in fact not getting great deal at all. Tesla charge you so much for services. They make sure your Tesla car can only be serviced by Tesla. Their service is the worse I have ever experience in my life!!!!! Not just one place but everywhere I went. You cannot even reach to anyone live on phone. They respond to you by texting & email. The Performance tires on the Model Y Performance last just only 20K miles, mine already worn out at 16K. The price for replacement of the tires is sky rocket. So, if you already do some research & know everything from their serices to the price you have to put out & still love the car, then be happy about buying it. Worse of all is the Insurance cost.

I wouldn't have bought that, i would have bought a EV6 GT, Tesla has a big build quality problem, sure the Tesla Fanboys will tell you otherwise lol, i know countless tesla owners that regreted buying one and change for a Korean.
i just don't like how it looks but it is faster and has better range than mine. biggest decision was: size, power, looks, and the ease of the Tesla supercharging network. watch enough videos and you will see how bad electrify america chargers and evgo2 chargers are always broken and out of service. I like that on tesla when it maps you to a charger it will till you how many stalls are in use and how many are available before you arrive and they are just everywhere.
I like your E-Bikes more.
