Maybe he wanted to be the "top guy" of the team he was on. He's among the few that can hold out for that. With Chase and Jett at Honda it wasn't going to happen there.
Suzuki or Gas Gas seemed the only two ways for that to happen (and yes, I think he would be considered the top guy over Barcia)

.. and as this dude said in another part of the interview. Kenny already has enough money for 3 lifetimes due to sound investment AND spending policy by Kenny and agent. Not it is about "legacy and ego"... getting theSX championship without the stress of $$$ and behind the scenes politics on bike settings etc. Like Eli too. Star wasn't about the money, and Eli is such a different guy now. 2023 should be an awesome 450 series!

  • @colonialroofingofnorthcaro441

I've been pumped up for Supercross, but it never had anything to do with Roczen, for me it was more to see if Eli could do it again and to see if Haiden was going to come out this year, and see how well he might end up doing, no matter how he does I don't care, I'm still a fan, I hope he does well but even if he doesn't, I'll still be a fan, I don't know where they get that Ken Roczen did all this cuz I never even thought twice Ken Roczen, that's wrong I lied. I did think one time of Ken Roczen being a jerk for not riding Honda, because I like Honda anybody that don't like Honda, just isn't thinking, they make some of the best Motors in the world no matter what, cars, motorcycle, lawnmowers, even pressure washer, Honda has the best products made. I did give a second thought to Ken Roczen of how he's a sellout for letting go of Honda I could care less if Ken Roczen ever races again that won't matter whether I watch Supercross or Motocross, I don't have any ill will toward him or anything like that other than the fact that he walked away from Honda, but I've always had that about these riders that take a good team in a good bike that make something out of them, and then when they finally get their name somewhere and get a lot of money, then thier ready to just throw them away because I don't know cuz their buttholes, I guess they think they're worth something now you're worth about as much as your next accident that cripples you and then you're done. Small and short term thinking. I know thier are cases like say Eli. He change teams after years and he change for less more, he didn't sell out just for the money and look at what it did for him, thier are right reason, thier are greedy reason, the difference between pure and not pure, and you can't respect nonpareil, or can't

Ken roczen going to Suzuki is really smart. Not only is it a brand he's cared about for a long time, since he grew up riding and won championships on in pros, but it's also stagnant. It seems bad now, but a guy like Ken roczen with his knowledge and pickiness, especially after riding all of the different manufacturers, could really help Suzuki develop a nice new model in the next few years. Imagine taking less money but revitalizing a manufacture that you love and help them go from the low end, budget option, to the new and improved, race tested and proven option raced by one of the best riders we've had in the last decade or so. I think it means more to him to do that. Also, watch the Hondas in 2022. Last year the front ends were so bad on the bike even sexton couldn't keep the thing up. He even swapped out practically everything this year and it still isn't as good as they'd like. Every manufacturer has its flaws, but Suzuki is just old. They could make a really nice bike with Ken roczen helping them. And idk what rock you're under but everybody and their mother that watches AMA supercross or motocross and are good fans followed all of Ken roczens off-season antics. He's one of the best riders in the sport right now and was a free agent, he brought an insane amount of interest to a period if time where mostly fans just forget about the sport and wait till supercross starts.

You definitely have the spelling and grammar of a Honda fanboy, I have a headache now. I'd say you can count on Honda quality, but I don't think you can say they're the best at everything.
