    Nice job - however, if you calculate how many BTU come from each log, then calculate how long that huge drill had to run to grind paper for each log, you may have been better off running an electric heater for the same amount of time you spent PULPING your cardboard. Some TIPS FOR YOU - From my experience; DON"T USE CARDBOARD ! ! it is very tough to break down, Use newspaper or previously shredded paper from offices. 2- your fine sawdust is GREAT and requires less paper per mix. 3- let paper or whatever, sit for two or three days before mixing. 4- Set up four or five solar panels to charge a couple of car batteries and use a DC mixing motor - this will make it truly a sustainable savings and environmentally friendly.

      By the time you buy a battery a solar panel and a mixer you will never break even. It cost nothing because it is a waste product. It is a supplement not a replacement for wood. Don't overthink this.

    Do you think adding wood chips, like those from a chain saw, will work as well as saw dust when added to the paper / cardboard sludge ?

    • @igorgjorgioski
      @igorgjorgioski Před 7 lety +1

      That can be added and the sawdust from chain saw its very good, try it

    what are the ingredients?

    What's the purpose of using paper?
    Is it posibble using 100% sawdust?

    • @igorgjorgioski
      @igorgjorgioski Před 7 lety +2

      Cardboard in this case acts as a glue, 100% sawdust can only dry briquetting under very high pressure

    koji je najbolji recept za dobar briket? da se ne raspada? neko kaze 35% piljevina 65% papir. neko kaze 50:50. sta je najbolja kombinacija??

    • @igorgjorgioski
      @igorgjorgioski Před 7 lety +1

      Po meni najbolje je 30% karton 70%piljevina sto vise piljevina bojle gori i koliko je moguce veci pritisak pri stezanje na presu

      По мени је најбоље 2 трећине папирне смеше и једна трећина пиљевине! Лично тако правим и немам проблема.

    You maked 4 parts of cardboard & 5 parts of sawdust, not 30x70 %.

    So.....what is on the end of your paper/cardboard mixer? You don't make that clear.To the uninitiated it looks like you are spinning a metal rod with nothing on the end.People need to know that to break up the paper it needs something circular and sharp or a paint mixer. I've made over 200 briquettes now and that one detail was the hardest to get right. Otherwise a good video

    To be honest, this looks a good idea but is NOT. ;) Recycling paper this way will cost more trees to be cut down to make new paper. It takes much more energy to make new paper from trees then from old paper. BUT much worse is the fact that you burn all the ink that is on the paper. This is not so ECO. But if you're looking for a perfect way to evaporate chemicals into the air. This is the way to do it.

    • @MrOliverock
      @MrOliverock Před 6 lety +2

      It is free fuel you are missing the point. Or it goes in the land fill. Most ink is soy based.

    • @stefkedebelg
      @stefkedebelg Před 6 lety

      I get it's free fuel, that's why you do it. :) But only newspaper black ink is soy based. I see you using colored ink too. I know it's oke if you only use newspapertype stuff. It is a bright idea to mix sawdust in it!

    • @stefkedebelg
      @stefkedebelg Před 6 lety

      Even then it better ends up in the land fill. There it will be contained and no chemicals are ending up in the air we all breath ;)

      You realize wood is a sustainable resource? The more wood/paper you use, the more they plant. A growing tree uses more CO2 than a mature one and also trees lock up CO2 in the wood which is cut and used for building etc. So it makes sense to cut trees, use them for building and grow additional ones.
