I am white from chicago. When I was in my early teens I was obsessed with Lowriders, would draw them, built models of them, would fawn over any classic car I saw wishing I could build a lowrider. Eventually a Lowrider show sponsored by the magazine came to McCormick Place in Chicago and my dad was cool enough to get me and him a ticket. We went and it was amazing. There were very few white people other than us there but we were so welcomed by the crowd, everyone was so friendly, I was invited to sit in a couple different cars, and even invited to sit in a 59 Impala during a mild hop show. I will never forget it! This end of the car culture is truly all about inclusiveness and family.
The dropped truck scene has been destroyed I see it everywhere..I'm 38 and was the first in my town with dropped trucks..now it's all idiots doing donuts burn outs and racing instead of just showing their pride and joy and hanging out with like minded people

Car guys, trucks guys, and motorcycle guys are all the same... step on our toes and you will get dealt with. We were also cool with the cops, they let do our thing because no one was really causing any major problems.
