How many Skeletons does it take to beat Elden Ring?

- In this video, I pit the skeleton enemies in Elden Ring against story bosses, in order to find out how many of them it takes to beat the game.
Here are the rules I used:
1. Start with the stock 'Skeletal Militiaman' spirit ashes upgraded to +10, and have them fight against the story bosses of the game with no assistance from me.
2. Each time the Skeletons fail to kill a boss, I will add more skeletons to the group and have them fight the same boss again.
3. Repeat this process, challenging the required bosses in order, until the Skeletons have killed the Elden Beast, beating the game.
4. The first 4 Skeletons will be the spear wielding sort, and after that I will be adding random other skeletons, as there are many in the game. Starting at 10 Skeletons I will add the large axe wielding variant, and each 5th thereafter will be a large skeleton

19:10 Completely unphased by the charge, pulls out another arrow and pokes the First Elden Lord.
edit: And then goes on to basically solo the Elden Beast
This must be what Fia wanted to do with Godwyn's strength.
Edit: would have also been cool if they fought Fortissax for the mending rune of the death prince.
You can actually trigger the Radahn festival by either advancing Ranni's quest OR getting to the Altus Plateau, meaning that you could choose either Loretta or Makar to fight to get to Nokron! (Or you could use the Dectus medallion but that cuts out a boss and more bosses in these videos are always fun to see!)
You can also bypass the dectus medallion by taking the tower of return TP in the weeping peninsula, meaning you can grab that, then walk right into castle redmane
i just went around to the back of the castle climbed the ladder got into the castle and was able to just go fight Radahn without ever talking to Ranni or going to the Altus plateau
@@solemnsovereign758 Pretty sure the Tower of Return specifically doesn't work for this? At least it didn't whenever I went there before getting to caelid.
@@lockthepope Almost everytime I've done it that way it's worked, it may just be finicky cause I've had it work for a good 80% of my runs
Getting to Altus has nothing to do with it. You have to activate the dectus lift, not fight Makar
I would love the "How many ants would it take to become Elden Lord ?"
idea for the next vid: the ghostflame bois in the entrance to Nokron, there's a few variants and you could even throw in the deathbirds due to the lore around them
Skeletons could also get deathbirds, or skeleton snails, or mariners. There are lots of undead. I'd even consider those little guys skeletons too in a way.
@@LampseekerForevermore there actually more like the inverse, having been alive for so long that they became undead, the ghostflame they wield was made by burning their comrades for fuel, performing a ritual with the ghostflame creation resulted in the deathbirds, so in a way they are all the equal opposites to those who died then came back
Note that you can also trigger the Radahn festival by getting to Altus, so you can have him as your first Great Rune if you are so inclined.
Ooh it would be cool to see different endings. For example Age of the Duskborn would've been perfectly on brand here
Run idea: How many good boys does it take to beat Elden Ring.
Start with the wolf ashes +10
Every 5 add a direwolf
Every 10 add Blaidd
Every 15th add a Lesser Red Wolf
At 20 replace the basic wolves with direwolves
You can modify spawn intervals and what not as you wish, but I think that would be a fun run.
Edit: You could also swap the Dire/Red Wolves for the Caelid T-Rex dogs if you so wish
a fun idea! there are a lot of different types of wolves/dogs in the game

How many Gideons to become Elden Lord
How many godrick soldiers when?
Start off with the basic godrick soldier ashes, and every defeat, add 1 more, every 3rd one added will be the one with the greatsword, every 5th godrick soldier will be a godrick knight, after (if you need that many) 20 ad a single Rick, soldier of god (greatsword one with x10 health, x15 damage, and x15 aggression, and every attack has lighting or some crap, I don't know)
Soldiers of godrick will definitely be in the poll, and will be coming soon in any case

MVP: The Archer. Gargoyle fight he Headshots the first Gargoyle from half way across the arena. He also got the last hit on the final Fia champion, Shade Godfrey, and the Elden Beast. Man isn't even wearing cloths. Just a bunch of bones, a bow, and a dream.

Grafted Scions could work it would also let them get revenge on Godrick for what he did to them.

Rykard is also a third option for great rune, as getting both dectus medallions you can then fight rykard after godskin noble and then from there you got the rest

I know you had the crabs already, but maybe you could try using the lobsters? They aren't as heavy hitting but they can snipe fire giant, so maybe that could work

There is an idea i would love to see: this route seems to be the hardest route yet so why not try to see how many black knive assassin are needed to complete the game (but you pick the actual bosses and not the +10 ash to not be totally op half of the game)

Man, every time it gets to Maliketh, I always find it kinda funny. Because he's doing these big, flashy, multi hit, over the top anime attacks against a single Skeleton Archer, and it's like. This feels a little excessive. Who are you trying to impress here?
at one point you should do one of these with one of those mods that buffs the bosses, and then use a stronger variety of units.
You can fight Radahn without Ranni's quest, you just have to get decatus medallions and set foot on Altus plateau to start the festival
You should do the Noble Sorcerer ashes. Add whoever you want past 5+

Arent skeletons supposed to die forever if they die to holy damage? Thats how it works when a player kills them, but some came back to life in elden beast I think

They are similar to the Nobles but are able to dodge, are faster (I believe) and have a different move set that relies more on the black flame?

edit, you could also do nokron/stella slimes with each variant, or the ancestral line with the melee; snipers; singers and the (regal) ancestor spirits, or the wolves like radagons wolf or the undead dogs of caelid or blood wolfs or the packs found across the game (I wonder if the farum azula beastmen could count), or ants..., madness or fire monks as well
