Here I am in 2021. 40 years old. Remembering how great the TRS 80 was, and how much feels almost lost to time. It's too bad, it should be a requirement that all kids watch Indiana Jones movies and learn to use the TRS 80. Just certain experiences no one should miss.
I remember playing this game with my brother. This and so many others, games on cassette tapes, ordering games through the mail out of a cheap black and white print out catalog. The games would arrive eventually a disc in a plastic sandwich bag. These times need to be remembered just like any other piece of video game history.

Oh damn all the moves still tight and clear as he progress! Wow! I'll tell you my dirty secret. I stoled this cartridge from a demo coco 2 in the mall just at the entrance of the Radio Shack. I told my father I got it from a friend at school who didn't like the game. Father asked how comes he gave it, not sold it. I said because the guy was a spoiled one who did not care giving it. All my neighbour friends including my father were saying how come he didn't like such a great game...

THIS IS THE VERY FIRST VIDEO GAME I REMEMBER PLAYING!!! OMG!!! I Would draw all of the stages on graph paper as my younger brother played so that we could remember the key locations. If memory serves me correctly, this game had no pause functionality, so I had to draw quickly and remember what door lead to where. And I used to take too long and time ran out and the bat came!!! That gave me and my hyperactive mind nightmares!!!!

I put it away, and then forgot about it, completely. .. I think I used to be able to get the diamond in chamber 3... but I can't remember how, heh.

Holy hell. This is my childhood. This, Dungeons of Daggorath, Popcorn, Clowns and Balloons, Spidercide and whole slew of other that I can't quite remember. Some were cartridges, some were tapes, some were floppy disks and others were programmed in from magazines. There's was also this really cool space game that was a side scroller and you could go left or right and you had to refuel but the name of it escapes me.

Tips if you want to try completing the game for yourself -
    (1) Practice jumping the rubber ball in the first level. You need to jump early to clear it and here is a good place to practice and get used to it.
    (2) Hang off a low rope and try holding left and right. Get a feel for how long you can hold before you fall off.
    (3) Always hold a direction on the joystick as you jump to a rope. It will make sure you grab it (holding up or down are often safer than left or right).
    (4) Pause before taking any jump. If there's an acid drop, don't risk it. Patience. Ignore the timer (see below)
    (5) When you're outside of a room the timer fills up again. So if you're in Chamber 1 and the timer goes down 2000 points. Then in the chambers on either side, (e.g. Chamber 0 and Chamber 2), the timer has gone up by 2000 points. This is very useful for Chamber 6 where you can wait in the small room of Chamber 1 for the timer of Chamber 6 to refill.
    (6) Forget the gold and diamonds. You don't get extra lives so it's just temptation to be killed trying.
    MOST DANGEROUS PARTS -
    Chamber 1
Hold left, jump and bounce off the steps. If you can time the button press, you will get a little higher each bounce and get up the step in about three tries. Stop if you see any acid.
    Chamber 2
The ball has a pattern, bouncing in the middle of the bottom step, then the outside edge. The time to make your way up is after it has bounced in the middle. Then you can hide under the ledges.
    Chamber 5
Once you've jumped on to the wall on the left to get the key. Jump left into the wall again. You'll bounce backward and just hold up or down to grab the rope again.
    Chamber 6
If you've practiced jumping balls this shouldn't be too hard. Also, remember to hang around in the small cave on Chamber 1. This will refill the timer in 6 and give you plenty time to get back.
    Chamber 8
You need to jump right at the end of the rope swing. You should bounce back to grab the rope. The other key can be reached with a well timed jump from below.
Good luck! Patience and practicing in Chamber 0 is the key.

If you hit jump just as you make contact with the passageway you will fall through the floor on the other side but it might take a few tries, I remember doing that way back just for fun, the game gets a little glitchy especially when the timer runs out and the bat starts flying. The bat would make a cluster of lines behind it and I think your guy will to. Ah, memories...

My dad had this computer too! This was my favorite game for it too, and was my first video game and one of my earliest memories. I remember the day me and my dad were on the way home in his truck and he pulled out a bag with a couple games he had just picked up from a computer shop. This game instantly entranced me from the moment I saw the cover of it.
I was made a lifetime gamer from the NES at age 5 or 6; however, this playing this game pre dates my NES days even as I must have only been 3 or 4 when I played this. I always remembered this game but the name of it had been lost to my memory for so long I could never find it online. I have tried several time over the last 5 years to find it online and failed mainly because I kept thinking it had the either the word Cave or Miner in it. It also didn't help that I would have never remembered what exact Tandy computer we had (of course now I know it was the CoCo2). I actually finally found it now because I was still using the word Cave to find it and happened upon Cave Walker, which looks a lot like this, but that is because it is apparently the sequel to this game.
