    Looks great to me, and those tips are excelent, for any painter or in life i'll say; 1st be patient and don't rush, 2nd... "the practice make the perfection".

    That's a good advice at the end of this video. I did something like with the Chaos Marauders shields on their sprues and painted them with different colour schemes to see what they'll look like. Just to see which colours I may use for future projects.
    Nice work on your Chaos Titan.

    I brushed out your steps for my 1k sons warpfire. However I used GW contrast medium with flour paint to make glazes which work really well for what I wanted.

    I used to go ice blue, white sparks of lightning and then a citadel coloured ink for the glow on power weapons...
    That method was sabotaged by GW as they swapped paint manufacturer about a decade ago...
    I also get the impression you learned the lessons you really press home the hard way... 😆

    How did you do the keypads and cables with glowing green? How would one do a glowing green on an area 0.18cm2 and a glowing blue on an area 2.25cm2, both with detail brush not airbrush?

    • @swordnsteele712
      @swordnsteele712  Před rokem

      Add white and then oh so gently brush on thinned down layers of fluorescent green and yellow for the first, and blue and white for the second, with the brightest area being centered! Using a detail brush will be a little harder to control the flow, you may want a brush with very soft, fine bristles that is a little larger than the area you'd like to make glow

    Naomi, You say "buy a very good Airbrush" What do you suggest? A Infinity CR + is very expansive in Canada around $400 what other alternative do you suggest? Love what you do. Thx

    • @swordnsteele712
      @swordnsteele712  Před 3 lety

      An airbrush and compressor (you need both) can definitely be expensive, but choosing a cheaper one just won't get you the results you want (I've tried!), they are less precise and much more likely to clog/malfunction in the short term. The starter one that I suggest, which should be less costly and is ideal for priming and basing and highlighting and of course work like this, is the Iwata HP-CR Revolution. It has a larger nozzle size and its cleaning/unclogging is a simple process. You WILL clog so make sure you know how to unclog it (I made a video how!).
      For the compressor, you'll want one that can at least go to 30psi as 25psi is where you'll want to be for the Revolution 🤔
      Cheers, best of luck!
