- Assassin's Creed has some great protagonists and today we're going to look at each one and say something positive about them, even the less than brilliant ones. So strap in as we look into the positive traits of Assassins from Altair, Ezio and Connor all the way to Bayek, Eivor and Basim. The positive about Jacob is that he wants to see real change. Sure he messes up a lot but his entire gang is really just there to rid London of those scoundrels

When I’m on stealth missions
I choose Evie and when I do some gang related missions I choose Jacob
Honestly Jacob could've been improved if they focused on their Father Samuel's death. Imagine if the story was focused on the guilt or loss the twins felt, maybe do a Spider-Man and have Jacob sorta responsible for the death. Could've fixed their personality. Jacob being a Joker and seemingly adapting instead of planning could've been what he saw in his dad as a child, maybe Evie is more focused on the Assassin belief, because she's in disbelief idk.
the best thing about Jacob is that he gets wiser when his older and stops cracking so many jokes

Tbf, the dudes voice is good. And the voice acting would be good if he were voicing a Greek god in a cartoon or something. It's just really out of place in Odyssey.

One thing i found interesting and what i love about bayek is that he was previously part of an elite unit in the egyptian army, then created the hidden ones. So bayek is so far the only true warrior at heart
Basim’s most important positive point is that he’s the fastest assassin ever lived, great video though, love jacob and love the jacob slander too.

1st point can you fault him for being sure that Sigurd was Odin he was the head Boss. You have to look in his perspective.
2nd Well I didn’t happen it went according to plan.
3rd Completely invalid point in AC 3 they didn’t have health bars point is totally wrong every other AC had health bars. Remember Ac Valhalla really depends on boss health bars excluding Odin(didn’t play DLCs yet) Ofc so it would be weird Basim not to have one.
4th It was his plan to run away to Sigurd you are forgetting his Plan to get into the Yggsdrill
Evior won because of plot armour/point Ubisoft didn’t want Evior to die and they had to make dlcs ofc. If Sigurd beat Basim it might’ve slipped my mind I stopped playing and then later finished it.
Evior might've beat him but Basim outsmarted and simultaneously beat him because he outlived everyone Basim got the last laugh.

Evior won the fight but he lost the war. Darkness is a small price to pay to live again and it wasn't all dark he was with Desmond and other people.
Sigurd is at fault for not letting Evior kill Basim sigurd is more of a coward than Basim for not killing him.
btw Evior is female why would he suspect her? and in the modern she appears even if you choose the male version. I like the male more so i use the male pronouns

Okay so this might seem very unrelated but there's this one youtube video called "Minecraft Mob Raps" and in one verses was rapped by "Ezio". I had no idea who Ezio is. It wasnt some kind of mc fan creation or an mc youtuber, and no one in the comments mentions it. It was such a random ahh cameo that I spiraled into madness fearing I would die before I could ever find out who the heck Ezio is and what it relates to Minecraft.
It's been years now and I didnt expect my childhood dread would finally be answered and quenched by a random youtube short of a game i've never took an interest in. Thank you kind stranger, it's as if you filled in a tiny hole between my rubble and made me feel more complete. Thanks to you I can look back on my life with slight more contempt and satisfaction. Thanks to you I can look forward to life and hope that these little wounds I get and will get, will one day, be healed eventually by one chance encounter, by pure fate.

They did a similar thing with Odyssey. Even the Colectors Editions came with statues of Alexios. I didn't realise Kasandra was meant to be the protagonist until I saw the novelisation.
@@kubikaya8417 I was under the assumption the actual Eivor who lived and died was male, but during the beginning of the game while Layla is experiencing problems with the genetic matching of the Animus they choose to override it with her Dna which produces the female Eivor we see while in the simulation? I could be completely wrong but that’s what I put together after my play through 🤷♂️
This is why I think Arno is the most relatable Assassin in the series. He struggles but finds a way to keep going. He loses, but never fails completely. He always bounces back

I feel the little bits we seen of Jacob in the DLC as a more serious man, looking to help the little guy is what we should have seen more within the actual game. I do enjoy Jacob even if hes not my favourite (Edward)

I don't know why She didn't come back same as everyone else we meet but that was the red herring. It threw us and Loki off the scent. Theres far bigger problems with this game than that. If you prefer playing as a male go for it. I personally dont care as long as they're written well. You dont get to just disagree with the canon though. The proof is in her name not just that 'ubisoft said so'. You're entitled to your own head canon too if thats how you feel

They did it for pathetic little pc brownie points after they already decided he was male and put him on the cover and again, if everyone else came back exactly as they were, it's complete cope from ubisoft that somehow Odin came back as a woman
@gennix404 they put alexios on the cover too. As I said male's sell more games. And even if you play as male Eivor the letter addressed to eivor in Alfred's study still says varinsdottir which was my point. There might be an ingame explanation as to why she came back as female but I don't recall it and I sure as hell am not about to replay that game to find out. But just remember we only saw the isu versions of the people through drugged up visions from Eivor. So we dont know they looked exactly like they did. When you dream normally you always see faces you've seen before you never make up new ones apparently. So her brain was connecting her real life people to her isu memories. However I believe the genders were all correct in her visions though, so this doesn't account for that still unfortunately.

@@TheStickz6 I actually don't think so, because London in this time period is the capital of the world, like it's probably the single most influential city, like Europe was on its economic height and the British empire was on top of it. The apples might be important in the short term, but Londons economic influence is pretty big if you think about it, Jacob probably disrupted more Templar plans than any single apple could

@@TheStickz6 they are powerful, yes, but I honestly think if London would have stayed in Templar hands, they could have de facto total control over the British Empire within the decade, and probably even destroy the assassins. Don't get me wrong, and apple could maybe do similar stuff, but London is just as important. Like, with an apple of eden you can do some supernatural stuff, and especially do miracles on a small scale, but the British Empire operates on a much larger scale than you could influence otherwise

For Altair you could make a less common reason, like the way he stood against the corrupt brotherhood. Aléxios is more historically accurate because women weren't allowed to fight in the Spartan army and King Leonidas did have a grandson Pleistoanax

His face is simply poorly worked. His voice on any Language different than arabic sounds odd. There are too many things an Assassin can be worried about, but nightmares?? Really? Not a murdered relative, not a betrayal… just nightmares about a jinni… lets talk about his speech skills; In the mission “servant and impostor” in which we have to infiltrate in the haren, the the man tried to manipulate Makira, a woman who doesnt seem to be too smart.. at the end he ended up doing her favours and tricked by her to to what she wanted (i gotta say it was a funny mission😂) he is MAD (SPOILER HERE(((((nehal was just an hallucination…))))))END SPOILER
He lacks of the selfconfidence assassins have always shown.. he is supposed to be the fastest, but that is not what we see on gameplay. Developers didnt even made a proper unique walking animation for him, giving us an Assassin who walks like a viking. And in top, (((SPOILER long)))((the way the Hermes Staff quest ended in valhala made 2000 years of Kassandra waiting for giving Layla the staff totally useless. I mean Kassy can be more or less of your liking, but she was powerfull. Why giving the staff to Layla just to be assassinated by Basim in that way??))((END SPOILER))
Not misunderstand me, i like Mirage and i felt it like the “back to the roots” ubi promised no matter what people says, but i think Mirage would be such a better game if with the same gameplay we had an AC1 remake with Altaïr, rather than giving us a forgettable new story. Personally, would preferred even a bit younger Roshan as protagonist
Theres a lot to respond to there and Im stuck answering on my phone. But ill just say, they were more than nightmares. Also I think any adult is still scared of nightmares especially if they're bring haunted by their inner self. Nehal wasn't not real, it was another part of himself that he repressed that showed itself inna different way, guiding him towards the truth. So she was real just not in the sense that she was a physical person. Devs had small ammount of time and resources and poured that into stealth and I appreciate that. Reused animations is fairly standard practise in the inustry. I do agree the story is lack lustre. Thanks for replying sorry I cant get to all your points...

Because the tone of the game is so cartooney. A dark game that meant something would have been better and he is the main culprit. He has about 3 funny jokes out of about 500 that he says.

Most people hate Syndicate and Jacob. The point about Jacob in the game is he is more on brawl, and Evie is stealth. Just like we do irl, boys will summon his gang and ready to rumble while girls be like "im gonna poison this b*tch" thats why for me, Syndicate is the best and fun AC Game. AC identity is still in Syndicate, unlike the new ACs.

It doesn't make sense. For example, Loki couldn't understand that Eivor is Odin till the end of game, only because Eivor is female. Like, really, male Eivor IS Odin in his best years. It would be so stupid if Basim were trying to find who Odin is and one were walking around him
