- today we are going on a deep dive to discover every easter egg Taylor Swift has dropped about the next Taylor’s Version album !!
since Taylor announced she would be re-recording and releasing new versions of her first 5 albums back in 2019, she has truly not taken a break from creating music and dropping clues about what is to come.
in this video, i am going through every theory about the order of the re-records and discussing every easter egg Taylor has dropped for each of the albums. last year in 2021, she released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) so now we are left to figure out which one is coming next.
there are many hints leading us towards either 1989 or Speak Now, but Taylor likes to keep us guess so who knows when she’ll make another announcement, it could be tomorrow, next month or even next year.

not to mention, she’s also been dropping hints from her debut album 😭 she’s been using one green heart and she referenced lyrics from the outside at the Tribeca festival and another time on twitter I believe. Also in the nyu graduation video she posted on tik tok I thought the shoes she was putting on looked like ones from the blank space music video, along with the Prada shoes from 2010, seems like she is using shoes as Easter eggs. At this point I feel like debut is going to be next not because she wants it too but because she can’t release the other three rn for different legal reasons?

She hinted at Debut TV when she promoted Carolina: "...on the outside, looking in" she wrote, which is from the song 'The outside' but I personally think she's gonna end the re-releases with Debut TV because she can't miss the opportunity saying: we end up where we started
But she released 2 songs from 1989 and also bad blood TV is already rerecorded.

I honestly believe 1989 was set to be released as the third re-recording and all the easter eggs go in that way, however because of the shake it off issues I think she's stuck in a position where she has no idea when she will be able to drop 1989 TV, and it's why she hints at Speak Now TV at the same time because in case 1989 TV takes way too much time to get fixed, she has Speak Now TV under her control and ready to go

In her 2021 AMA acceptance speech for pop album of the year, she gives a message to the fans where she says something along the lines of “thank you for letting me in your life and I’m so lucky to have you in MINE.” And I fell to the floor.
This is not discovered by me, but in a short video about preparation for autumn, which was posted before the release of Red TV, a number of outfits were specifically pointed out and that it might be hinting the order of the release of the rest re-recordings. The order was purple hat, blue scarf, green stockings, and black pants.
Purple - Speak Now
Blue - 1989
Green - Debut
Black - Reputation

Back To December (10 minute version)
I feel like maybe she’ll drop 1989 & Speak Now at the same time. She can only drag the rereleases out so long before it’s gonna get old. She had a ton of media coverage with Red, so I feel like she made her point and now needs drop them all and move on to her next real era so she can go on tour again. Then again, it’s TSwift so who knows 🤷🏼♀️
She’s not going to drop two albums at once. She would be competing with herself for streams, sales, chart positions, media coverage, etc. One album would be number one and one wouldn’t when she could have two number one albums if she dropped them separately. She’s getting close to being the woman with the most number one albums in history and she wouldn’t jeopardize this statistic by releasing two at once. She would also get more sales and streams if she released them separately. She may not need or care about money, but her record label sure does and they would not let her do something that would cost them millions.

I do believe speak now and 1989 will be released together. It could be 2022, Red and the 22 reference. But she’s made lots of 2 references lately especially at the graduation ceremony…as well as “accepting the award for the wildest dreams/enchanted mashup” during that one award show. The ‘las culturistas’ award show acceptance speeches had huge Easter eggs I thought you missed. I believe it will be a double album drop and a studio recorded mash up of Wildest Dreams and Enchanted and I can’t freaking wait!
Oh and the TikTok about wildest dreams TikTok with the glitch during “tangled up” as in the albums are tangled up..I also think at some point a third addition to folklore and evermore will be released featuring Carolina

I think that Speak Now will come out in the fall, reputation in the first quarter next year, 1989 in the summer, and end with Debut at the end of 2023.

I’m personally not sure which re-recording Taylor’s going to release next, but I think it’s gonna be either Speak Now or 1989. She’s been hinting at 1989 for so long and has already dropped 2 songs from the album, which makes me think she’s already re-recorded the whole thing and is just waiting for the “Shake It Off” lawsuit thing to be over. Then again, because of the lawsuit, she could decide to release Speak Now TV next and throw everyone off just like she did when she released Red TV. There’s many different possibilities, but one thing’s for sure, I’m so damn excited 😄😄

Here’s my theory: Speak Now was set to be next. However, what’s one of the biggest songs (and boyfriends) from speak now? Taylor Lautner with Back to December. Taylor Lautner is currently engaged to another woman named Taylor. I think Taylor Swift saw the way the fans attacked Jake after All Too Well, and doesn’t want fans to do that to Taylor Lautner when Back to December gets released. He was a great guy and I know she has a lot of respect for him and I don’t think she wants to do anything to take away from TaylorX2’s love story or their wedding. So I think Taylor is going to do one of two things: either she is going to wait to release speak now until after Taylor Lautner’s wedding so it doesn’t steal their moment, or she’s gonna release 1989 first so that she doesn’t have to wait for the wedding to happen and then speak now will come way after. That’s my opinion, because I know Taylor is very self aware and intuitive and there’s no way she didn’t notice how the fans destroyed Jake and she probably does not want anyone ruining Taylor and his fiancee’s special day. I know most fans really love and respect him, but you know there’s always those crazies who take things way too far and they’ll leave comments on his Instagram being like “do you go back to December all the time?” Lol which is super inappropriate while he’s planning his wedding.

I don’t think she really cares about what people say about John because he didn’t treat her right and he was old enough to know better. With Taylor Lautner, however, she’s been very vocal about how great of a guy he was and how she did him wrong. She would never want to rip open olds wounds with him right around the time he’s going to be marrying the love of his life. I think she has too much respect for him to cause unnecessary drama that can be mitigated by waiting to release the re-record until after his wedding.

His Instagram would be filled with “take Taylor back, she apologized, you were so cute together” and that would suck for his future wife to read and honestly his fiancée would probably even get some hate comments/messages or even death threats. I’m just saying I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s putting it off until after the wedding so they don’t have to deal with that while they’re planning the wedding or on their honeymoon. I’m ecstatic for 1989 (TV) and will honestly die when it arrives, but I agree with you that she probably has it done and is legally stuck so she’s holding off and keeping Speak Now in the wings just in case! But in the end, I’m so so so happy that we’re going to have them all re-recorded with new tracks too, so no matter what she puts out next I’ll be happy! I just hope it’s soon! I personally think 1989 will be her last re-recording. Every reason why she should do Debut last and Reputation last applies to 1989 combined.
“She’d be taking back her name if she released debut” and she could be taking back her birth year for 1989.
“There are hundreds of vault tracks for Debut” so does 1989.
“Reputation was a huge moment for her” not as big as 1989 was. 6 of her biggest songs are in 1989 more than any other album. Style, Wildest Dreams, Shake It Off, Out Of The Woods, Blank Space, and Bad Blood.
“She said fvck you to the media in Rep” Blank Space and Shake It Off entered the chat.
On top of that, 1989 is the only other album within her masters to recieve a Grammy album of the year, and it was the album that she decided to go against S**** and make 1989 because he thought it wasn’t going to be good enough.
It would make sense for Taylor to release 1989 last because she’d end with a huge album.
Also, if karma is real, it would have come out after 1989, meaning it would truly have its moment when it was intended: being the album that came out after 1989. It could have been a rock album since the 1989 tour had a couple of well known songs (WANEGBT and IKYWT) covered to sound more rock.

I would say that 1989s top five (based off of popularity) are Style, Wildest Dreams, Shake It Off, Bad Blood, and Blank Space, not Out of the Woods.

@@themarauder8050 that’s literally what I was thinking, however unless the last thing she puts out is a Clean MV or a Clean orchestra remix or whatever, it’ll most likely end on whatever the last vault track is.
A possible Easter egg for Debut could be that she mentioned twice (first receiving her Honoris causa and then on the tribeca festival) a quote from The Outside: “I’m on the outside looking in”.

A huge shot in the dark, but part of me believes she secretly already owns her Masters. I believe that the investment firm that bought her masters from Scoobie knew that that would be "worthless" with the re-records...especially after the huge success of Red, Taylors Version, and reached out to Taylor and her team. This is why there is a huge time gap between re-record releases. She may still have recorded her old albums, especially since it gives her an opportunity to add additional tracks, music videos, and bring in new fans. What do you think?

I think you’re completely right about both her having 1989 fully done (and for a loooong time too) AND that the early Easter eggs about 1989 were probably right. I think was her original plan to do 1989 next, but the lawsuit has delayed everything (in your last video you said that kinda recently she had a setback… so now it actually has to move forward to trial… which must be such a bummer for her 😿). Anyway lol, I think she probably thought it was gonna be thrown out….and has KEPT HOPING (ie: delaying). But, RED was sooo critical to her personal story… imo it was a highly worth “plan B” lol if not the original plan, for that reason!
BUT, we all know how much she LUUUVS releasing albums in the Fall lol, so even if she STILL can’t move forward with 1989, I think she will absolutely move forward with Speak Now by the Fall… I don’t think she’ll make us wait any longer!

I’m sold that Speak Now is next. On Oct 2 she posted on Instagram with NOW in all caps. Since then she posted 2 more Insta posts with NOW in all caps (equating to three, for her 3rd album, Speak Now). The last social post that had NOW in all caps was announcing her the release of the bejeweled music video which has Speak Now Easter eggs everywhere! Also when she announced Eras tour, she said she’s “enchanted”. Lastly, on her most recent Instagram post, 4/4, she wrote a really weird line which caught my eye. In it is says “mean” and the number 3 is spelled two different ways.
I think all the 1989 Easter eggs are legit but she had to switch because of shake it off legal woes.

Well the summer i turned pretty's tumblr page also (ig it was Tumblr 😅) read out "Will Sparks Fly" in a post promoting their series and that's another egg for Speak Now TV coz Sparks Fly is a track from Speak Now.
Taylor's mind omg 😭😭 it's very unpredictable to guess which rerecording is thr next one because she's just caught up in the lawsuit, trademark issue and nov 2022 rep eligibility for rerecording stuff so it's even possible she herself might not be sure of what to drop next.
Some swifties also believe we're either getting debut tv (but debut has to be the last one common) or TS 10 😭😭.

Now that Speak Now (TV) and 1989 (TV) are out I think the reason she was doing easter eggs for 1989 and Speak Now was because the TV albums came out very close in date, July & October is only 4 months so it's really not that far, and that's another reason she dropped the merch back-to-back, bc she released the albums back-to-back.

My theory used to be that I noticed Taylor takes a 6 month gap between her re recorded albums so I was suspecting a re recorded album in June, but was no response later I thought she'd release Speak Now on July 9th cause of Last kiss, yet again no response, Now I'm sure to the core that she'll release either debut, because of the Easter egg during Carolina release and Tribeca Festival or Speak Now because she wore purple at her Doctorate Degree Speech, in my opinion she won't release 1989 any time soon because of the lawsuit and the fact that she released wildest dreams TV after announcing Red TV, She's definitely trying to fool us by releasing This Love TV and tricking us into thinking 1989 is next, but it's quite fun to see friend's theory too, I definitely don't have a clue about what is gonna come, but it would be huge, without a doubt, Sending Love ❤️

i think reputation is coming next Regardless of all the easter eggs she dropped for the other albums and if you remember before carolina was released "when the crawdad sing" posted some pictures in there instagram i believe with some phrases that had letters written in the reputation font that lead finnally to "this thursday" so i am somehow sure she would release the rerecorded version of this album next perhaps this november who knows also i loved this content i hope you continue posting it love you:)

i recently heard a theory that she’s hinting at speak now and 1989 at the same time because she wants to release the “enchanted/wildest dreams” mashup from her 1989 tour on a TV album. maybe that’s what’s going on?
in the interview where she talks about This is Me Trying, she's wearing a purple hat that is NOT very folklore or evermore. the shade looks right for speak now. No theories, we're just clutching at anything now.
I think 1989 (TV) was next after Fearless (TV), and she made all these signs for us, but because of legal issues she didn’t and switched to Red (TV)…
For Speak Now there was also a purple heart in her story in insta for Record Store Day and she also used gif with word “Now” in exact same font as the cover of Speak Now
For 1989: in her post about This Love TV there was written “m i d n i g h t” with all these blank spaces and it’s the first word of Style. Also Swiftie Summer collection is VERY 1989 themed with TS written on the sand (Out Of The Woods???). AND at the NYU graduation she wore leopard shoes just like in Blank Space video.

I think that the graffiti on the wall in The Man mv could mean something close to what your saying but maby that the first Karma above the head of Taylor means 🛴 getting Karma for trying to steel her work and the beginning of the process of reclaiming it. Since we now know that the TV has been released Fearless, Red, Speak Now. So I think Reputation will be next and just like midnights 1989 will have multiple versions, possibly a album with only vault tracks since she made so many songs that didn’t make the cut. And then the second Karma mabye stands for Taylor having reclaimed all of her albums or the album Karma being released!

The plot of the Colbert skit is Stephen asking if "Hey Stephen" is about him. Taylor sang "You're So Vain" with Carly Simon on the RED tour. "You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you." I'm not saying there aren't 1989 easter eggs all over that skit, but I still think that she was also hinting at RED.
I don't think the cake the "I Bet You Think About Me" video represents about the order of her re-releases, but I do think the five layers of the cake represent her first five albums. The bottom layer is covered with swifts (notice the distinctive split tail), representing her debut album. The next tier clearly represents RED because the RED ring pattern decorates the cake. The middle tier, the smallest, represents Speak Now. Remember on the Tonight Show when she talked about throwing a party for all the songwriters on the song "Lover?" The Speak Now tier is a little cake for just her, the sole songwriter of Speak Now. Which are her top tier albums? 1989 and Fearless, the albums that she won Grammys for Album of the Year. She takes a chunk out of the Fearless layer because she has already re-recorded it.
I also still think there is a chance that she will re-release her debut album in 2022. She released her debut album at age 16, and it is now 16 years later. I think this sort of symmetry appeals to her.
i have this like crazy fantasy for 1989 (TV) where she releases 1989 (TV) as it is with no features but then she'll release like a 1989 (Taylor's Remix) with all of the songs having features --> i say this because some of her popular songs have the stolen version outstreaming the taylor's version [ex. we are never ever getting back together, i knew you were trouble, love story (sometimes), wildest dreams (sometimes)] and some of her biggest songs are from 1989 so to prevent all the stolen versions from outstreaming their taylor's version she'll release two version so we have one with just her and one with a feature that would definitely outstream the stolen version (ex. jonas brothers, olivia rodrigo, conan gray, lorde, selena gomez, nicki minaj, lizzo, katy perry, beyonce, rina sawayama, carly rae jepsen, etc.)

I have a theory that the speak now tv album cover is the thumbnail of the video of her SNL performance of ATWTMN. If not the same picture, its gonna be another one but from the same day. I know its red-ish in colour but guess what else is, SPEAK NOW DELUXE VERSION cover. She could easily get it edited to purple as well. She's already given us content from her album photoshoots as we already saw with red tv and this love tv.

Do you guys remember that video re-enactment of a post ts posted during red tv era about fall? I have a theory about the order taylor shows us things. Hear me out, she touches the PURPLE hat first, so we get speak now first, then she touches her BLUE scarf therefore after speak now we will get 1989, then she shows us her DARK GREEN knee socks which could potentially mean that debut comes after 1989, and then she picks her BLACK tights, meaning reputation will be last probably due to the fact that she has to wait until november 2023 to release it. This makes so much sense considering taylor has been hinting on both speak now and 1989 recently plus the shake it off lawsuit which will take until 2023 at least since she's back in court for that case. And after she releases 1989, probably this year, she will have to release something during 2023 because she can't re-record/release reputation till novemeber 2023 therefore debut will be released sometime between January and September 2023.Then reputation can follow finishing the re-recondings era. This also makes sense cause repuation stadium tour was her biggest tour ever and she will be able to have the big tour without the other re-releases holding her back. I'm saying this because I've seen many people say she will probably release debut last, but i think releasing rep last makes so much more sense. I do think though that she might release reputation during december and not novemeber.

Before SN TV was announced I knew it was going to be the next one, I have a feeling that 1989 TV will be next bc she dropped a lot of hints and the elevator buttons in bejeweled. I'm thinking that rep and debut will be last, I feel like it's a little poetic that her first stolen album and her last stolen album as the final ones.

5:07 I think the second 1989 in the Man music video might be referencing her self-titled debut album? Taylor Swift, the person, was born in 1989, she's "from" 1989, so it's sort of like a play on words. These are all of her stolen albums, one of which is titled 1989, and one of which is from 1989.
She wrote 1989 twice and she came out with a re-recording of This Love and Wildest Dreams and then I assume she’s going to do the rest and some point maybe that’s what she meant by have 1989 on the wall twice
