Thank you for the excellent thumbnail as well!

MYP
Falken 460. 275 front 295 Rear. Love the look of the stance and the style of the tire. Will by again
OEM tires lasted 34500 miles.
Falken 20,000 miles 25% used.
One thing that I have noticed is that the rear camber is not affecting these tires as much as the OEM tires
Summed up my experience too. M3P on 19 inch cross climate 2s. They will handle it pretty much anything thrown at them. As you correctly stated you won’t gain any range by going down a size running these, you end up in roughly the same place as the 20 inch OEMs. Ride is miles better, although you do lose some sharpness when pushing on, but that won’t matter to most people. Your swapping process identical to mine too. Great vid 👌👌
Just a matter of note: MYP is staggered setup from factory. At least as of 2022 MYP.
Yeah mine is too
2023
I have a 2021, same thing.
I replaced the staggered 21” MYP tires with some 18s (squared) tires/wheels from TSportLine. Love the improvement in all facets of my 2022 MYP’s dynamics. But I stayed with the same Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. I’m retired, and if the weather is BAD we are not going anywhere.
Good video. Glad to hear from a fellow Kentuckian their take on tires. Thanks.
haha same, I live south east, perry county.
I've seen your channel before. This was a great video. 👍
i got them in early of january and the crossclimate 2's are AWESOME ! tested them on ice and snow and on dry warm roads
Snap! Coming upto 40k miles on my CC2 set in UK after one f/b swap.
Ive tried to get stuck in the snow two years on the trot now and failed miserably 😆 ⛄️❄️🥶. Its crazy how good these tyres are, that uneasy feeling when driving in heavy rain at high speed or in sub zero icey road conditions has gone. Deep snow on the road and travelling on ungritted roads, up/down hills etc. ive left SUV struggling to climb a snowy hill while my car takes it with ease…. They look pretty cool too 👌
well done, thanks for the content
I don't live in a State where it gets very cold, but from my experience, dedicated tires for specific seasons is definitely the way to go. Being that I live in a really warm state, I usually always run summer tires, although, I do hate how bad they are with longevity and ride comfort.
Thank you for the reviewing. Are those the Satin Grey or Satin Black TS5’s?
My MSP wears 19” PSAS4 and I’m very happy with them. Coming from staggered 21” PSS and I go to the snow once or twice a year. They are adequate in snow, excellent in wet, and close enough to stock in dry. I could go for better winter performance but it’s not worth it for me, ymmv.
I have for winter FastWheels EV01+ wheels with my Michaline Crossclimate 2 235/R45-20 work just great, good efficiency on last 10K KM road trips in winter (temps at -18Deg/C. / 1 Deg.F) about 350watt per mile (219watt/km) at 65 to 70MPH
I’m using Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 right now. Decent. Road noise is off the charts though.
Best practice is to torque in stages, ie 90 ft-lbs, 110 ft-lbs, 129 ft-lbs.
i've heard the Y LR and Y P have the same size brakes, its just the P are painted red. many 18" wheels will fit on the LR and P.
Good video. Question, is it worth it to get a 2021 M3 RWD with 50k miles?
Had CC2’s on an old car and loved them. I now have Tesla and the stock tyres are nearly done… will be buying again soon…
I live in Ottawa, Ontario Canada and have been using these tires on my Model 3 long range. 3 winters down now and no issues whatsoever ever. They started with 10/32 of an inch tread and after 31K miles I still have 7/32 running them all four seasons. Never will buy a different tire again.
Hey there, are you running these all year long or swapping for summers?
@@kvella08 All year for 3 years.
Winter isn’t really a thing for us here in TX. Maybe for like 3 days each leap year but not worth getting another set of wheels.
Like the idea of the tires for upcoming winter.. Was looking to get rims elsewhere to fit the Model 3 performance rims and its tricky. Apparently there is a stepped hub and other things to consider like brake clearance? Tire rack apparently only offers 19 or 20" but includes 18" for the non-performance models... Perhaps other oem tesla rims don't work on performance models either?
MYP has staggered
Correct
You should consider Falken FK460 A/S. I have a 23 MYP.
Goodyear Maxlife tires, hands down the best on the Model 3 Long Range. I've had them for 50k miles, and they have a lot of tread life left.
I have had a 2018 Tesla LR and am considering buying the new performance 3. I live in NE Ohio. The 3 perf only comes with 20 ' summer tires. Do we know if it will come with "all weather tires" in the fall? I am not sure if I should sell the summer tires and then go with a 20' all season , or have 2 sets (winter and summer sets)- and if so, should I get different rims ('19) with different tires maybe 245/40/19 or 245/35/19 with the winter set? Thanks,
Rob
Jeremiah, just watching your video. I am waiting for my 2024 M3P to arrive. My plan is to remove the wheels and tires. I live in Wisconsin and summer tires will not work. I also do not want to deal with not being able to rotate the tires. I am thinking to downgrade to 19" wheels and purchase the Michelin cross climate 2 tires. What are your thoughts on downgrading to 19". Do you have any suggestions on wheels that will work well with the performance model in the 19" size. Also, are there any calibrations that will be needed due to downsizing the wheels and going 4 square? Your help is appreciated.
I have the exact same setup. I knew spending $3,500 on snow rated tires would mean it wouldn’t snow this winter. I was right. You’re welcome, Ohio.
Model 3 performance here. Using Michelin pilot sport 4 all seasons. Have been fantastic in summer and in winter/snow. Also, Tesla still comes to my house and does a rotation for me for $65.
If it’s a performance it’s a staggered setup and rotations aren’t really done.
@@brussell8675309l nope
i dont rotate tires ever, i just drive until replacement, approx 20k miles but im a bit rough on tires.
Lots of cars require jack pads nowadays. They tend to be performance cars, in my case it’s a corvette.
Bonus: when you have your wheels off it is a great opportunity to clean off the brake calipers, especially the nice red performance brembos.
What about the wheel weight placement?
Corvettes and BMW’s also use jack pads.
I installed Michelin sport pilot on my 2022 MYP. Had Pirelli tires from factory. The Michelin tires are very unstable at high speeds. Above 110 mph. The Pirelli’s handled much better. All the way up to 135mph.
Yea. The road safety is also unstable with you driving that fast
one thing that i dont get is when you buy the tire, how do you get them on your rims.
I was going to ask the same question
Dont see cross climate being sold for model y 20 inch wheels any help?
i don’t think they make them in 20s?
🙏🏾
I'm not sure what to make of the open toed sandal choice while changing tires. Safety first?
But i’m wearing socks?
Yah killin us Miah with them 3D printed rubber clogs.
You on TV son! Hahahaha jkjk
Nice thumbnail 🍑😏
You are wrong.. 2024 model Y performance comes stock with a staggered setup..
? Myp has a staggard setup
Are they still delivering staggered? I thought they switched to a square setup from the factory
@@JremiahJones no, not yet. I didn't know of these plans, but I just picked up mine a couple weeks ago, 275,255
I have a 23 MYP and my tires are staggered from the factory. I wish they weren’t but…
My 2023 Tesla model Y performance is staggered! My 2018 Model 3 Performance is not.
65 usd at tesla to rotate my tires, last month.
Don't drop the car or wheels on your toes... 😂😂😂
I just replaced pirelli P zero as plus elect 50 k warranty from discount tire 295+ $ 45 tires warranty + tax . Fee total$1500 for 20 inch induction wheels Tesla tire last only 16k miles
Try “Chill Mode”
I stopped watching/listening on the third plosive even though I think this is an otherwise good video. You gotta work on that. Maybe set the mic down, use a pop-filter, and/or edit those out. Plosives are horrible on the ears when using headphones and this is why musicians and professional voice-over artists use pop filters.
The way you say "whill" tells me you're from Utah or somewhere near there. :D
Misleading title. Should be how to replace Tesla Model Y tires! Beside 10K miles is not enough. Come back and make a video after at least 20K miles.
