Thank you! Really appreciate that. 99% of the time the shipper provides the dunnage unless the broker tells you ahead of time that you have to bring your own.

Thank you! Yeah it’s never fun to be on the road in hot weather when you have a fever. Not my first time. I’ve had it a lot worse in the past. That monitor is my tpms sensors on the trailer. Shows pressure and temperature. It’s honestly a must for a trailer. My truck came with oem sensors for trailer but I’ve heard they will not reach far enough on a 40ft trailer. Plus you’d have to start rolling for the oem ones to show a reading where these start working right away when you turn them on

I wanted to know if you’ve had any trouble with being over length running a 40ft trailer. I see guys getting fines for being over length running the 40ft. Most guys from what I’ve seen are either A getting a gooseneck with a shorter neck, B running a cab/chassis set, or C just running it as is. I’m looking to purchase my own truck (2021 Ram 3500) and trailer(to be determined) soon to start running and wanted to get your thoughts on the situation. Thank you for your support. I have not had any trouble at all with the setup I have. In fact, majority of the hotshots are 40ft gooseneck and a truck that has a bed intact. A DOT officer has to be in a seriously bad mood to even give you trouble for a setup like this. I have not heard of anyone getting questioned for this. Never heard of a gooseneck trailer with a shorter neck. I don’t think they make those because then you’ll be hitting your truck against it while turning and doing it will even connect without hitting your tail end of the truck. I say don’t worry about it. You should be fine.

They aren’t wet. They are coated with some oil to prevent rusting. Look at the part when they were being loaded, they look the same as they do when unloading.

@@mikelopez4148 you can do same with a hotshot truck. Put a driver in it and stay in bed like you are right now. I know semi drivers with flat beds and I know how much they make. Trust me , not any better than hotshot but you do have way more and I mean way more expenses on a semi truck. IRP registration alone is 3 times more than what I pay. Let’s not get into breakdowns on the road or buying tires. Come on bro. It’s not my first year on the road.

I do have a CDL and use an ELD.
Gross income always varies. Sometimes a lot and sometimes not. Net is no less than 60% without being exact.

What do you use to print your BOL’s ?
The shipper usually provides the BOL but if they don’t have one then most truck stops have printers.
