  • This was a Agco demo machine doing corn in Shawano, Wisconsin 11/9/20. The combine was running a 3308 chopping head and could eat the corn at up to 7mph. As you can see with the GoPro footage there wasn't any corn coming out the back of the machine. It was being run most of the time in the 5 mph range. It is quite a impressive machine even going from being in a S67 to this. I do have to say well done Agco on this machine.

Thank you for the nice words. The guy who demoed this one actually just bought one as well. Should with any luck have more videos of that one this fall.

Martin Richenhagen did a lot of good things for AGCO but if it were not for the late Kevin Bien's determination and hard work, MR would have killed off Gleaner.

Yes Kevin is solely responsible for Keeping Gleaner going.

Rusty, did this combine have the perforated cascade pan? I believe they brought that combine to our place on Nov 3. Not a fan of the cascade pan for our lower yielding corn in Wi.

Yes it did. Worked ok in the corn that was running in the 150's but no problems in the 190's.

why no 12 head on this large machine

There wasn't a 12 row head available for the demo.

At least with an eight row you can make a round

@@timirish4892 But I look at ROI. Overpowering and mismatching equipment is expensive, plus you've just moved your operation's bottleneck to a new area.

We’ve only run IH. How do those Gleaners perform. Looks like a good machine.

They seem to be doing good. This guy ended up buying one after the demo. The maintenance is great and compared to working on yellow ones these are way nicer. Of course they are not perfect but have been holding up nicely.

@@wsorfan no combine is perfect. We had 3 915 IH combined when I was a kid. Never had much problems with them, but some hated them. Traded for 3 1480’s and loved them. Later 1680’s, then 2188’s, now a couple of 7120’s. Funny, they don’t even make a CaseIH as small as the big combines we used to run!
