- I had this video 90% done by the end of October after Tsurugi's trailer but then decided to hold off on posting it so I could see what he could do during Paris Games Week. Then when the beta got announced I decided to push it back further so I could actually study Kaguya and Tsurugi further. With Kuon's trailer here about a week or two earlier than anticipated, I can finally get this out.
This covers everyone's canonical powers that were either explained officially or shown through gameplay. To reiterate, the first 10 characters from Hyde to Yuzuriha had their powers explained in an official capacity through French Bread's streams while Hilda's was explained through the official UNIB booklet. Everyone from Chaos after is from observation and smaller lore reveals. As always, I prefer the more literal transliterated titles than their "localized" ones.

I'm a moron. Kuon's RIGHT ARM is the one that's Voided out.
So a couple updates, Kuon's powers still haven't been contextualized yet but we did learn that Kaguya actually manifested her guns instead of them being special equipment.
For anyone wondering, Eltnum and Akatsuki don’t use EXS even though they somehow have EXS meters
Eltnum runs on her Magic Circuit and Akatsuki runs on his Blitz Motor
Eltnum is the girl with purple hair. Right?
I find it pretty ironic that Gordeau has a pretty frightening EXS that’s also accompanied with summoning a scythe and yet he’s one of the more friendly and down to earth characters in the franchise.

Pretty sure Enkidu got a small bite from a void, not a bite from a small void. The reasoning was that he was so jacked that the void could barely pierce his skin which is why he doesn't have much exs.
Whichever the size of void it was, the bite was insubstantial, that's what I attempted to convey.
Either way I'm pretty sure I remember it saying that the void's fangs could barely pierce his skin, so the amount sucked out was very small. They said this in a way that glorified his physique since he's a trained martial artist, so I'm pretty sure whichever way it's supposed to be impressive... especially considering he only really wanted EXS to see what it's all about pfft
I never noticed Yuzu had those serious expressions, holy crap. "Characters that screw around a bunch but are super strong when serious" is a trope I frequently enjoy and I somehow never thought to put Yuzu in there. Yet another reason to like her.
In other words, don’t make onee-san angry.
I always wondered what EXS is and how it works. This video was really nice! Feels kinda similar to how Drives work in Blazblue.
Also bless you DDK for those character transitions. There were so many I loved that would make this comment longer than it should.
I'm glad people enjoyed those voiced bits. I wracked my brain trying to find ones that fit from a variety of sources.
Enkidu is such a chad. He got bit by a void but his muscles were so strong that the fang could barely penetrate his skin and therefore he has almost no EXs. He goes there testing his might against superhumans while having little to no power himself besides his martial prowess.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Wagner's three special artifacts that she uses, some of which are confiscated for the duration of the game as the in-lore reason for her being playable (I know one of them includes the mask she wears in a lot of her promo art).
The Aegis and her two weapons are part of her equipment. The sword is the one produced by her powers. The equipments everyone has is a separate video.

The way Kure plays Yuzu, you'd think he also possesses Ainsel Lost.
Now that i think about it, Londrekia has an obsession with proving that the Ritter Schild could rival the all female licht kreis. Ik its cause of Wald that they only recruit female members, but maybe his powers and him wanting to defeat Wagner at full strength given that shes canon pretty powerful and they have a lot of one way interactions, maybe thats the idea where his mentality and imagination lies, and thus where he created a power in his mind to rival hers. If they did scout him out though, i wonder if they have a way of predicting or nurturing particular affinties in people since its an mostly imaginary/cognitive/subconscious based system (EXS), but who knows. It does seem like he was handpicked though with the extra equipment he has... hopefully we'll see if maybe he had an encounter with Wagner at some point that set him on that path. Itd be cool if we got more characters from his group though.
The inferiority complex the Ritter Schild has against Licht Kreis existed for way longer than Londrekia has. He was raised with the express intent of defeating the Wagner line and it really depends if the group raised a bunch of other kids like this, made them all in-births, and gambled on whoever could get ice powers or they did something less reliant on chance.

Maybe the mystery surrounding Wagner's ability has to do with her canonically not being at full strength pfft... Iirc Londrekia as well as chronicle mode confirmed that there was something taken away from her since she is on suspended time away?

Interestingly, the lore streams apparently stopped when the pandemic hit and the world went into lockdown.

I can only hope they'd continue these streams as "post release content". It's their universe.
I think the streams would’ve covered everyone up until Lond had the big C not hit the world.

@@DeepestDankest I’m not too familiar with Under Night do I don’t know what the move is called but the “Charging Star” like move Tsurugi has is his Ultimate attack looking thing. Plus he takes a standing attack and a jumping attack from Cap.
