@@cliffkrahenbill5971 it’s just baffling that Blue-eyes and Dark Magician have all this support to work with yet Red-eyes is the archetype with an identity crisis, doesn’t know what it really wants to be and Konami just can’t seem to find a proper direction for this deck, I mean it’s supposed to be a burn deck yeah but how reliable and consistent is it compared to the other Two of the original 3? Red-eyes main search cards are BMD and Insight, meanwhile Blue-eyes and dark magician has more to utilize for setup and consistency. Red-eyes fusion, great setup but terrible secondary effect of no special summoning, Blue eyes and DM don’t have this drawback with their fusion cards, and the biggest thing is if you just ran archetype specific decks of all three, well red-eyes still is last unfortunately. It just needs that one wave of support that will actually give it its own identity and make it somewhat viable.
Red eyes needs a whole engine refresher. I dont like how the engine works. It needs to have cooler art. Red eyes Darkness dragon had potential. I do like the new red eyes alt arts coming out with the orange background so you can see the detail better

No absolutely not. They need to stay focus on what they started. Fusion, Ritual, and especially Synchro. Synchro is what makes Blue-Eyes very strong. Crystron Halq is proof of it.
Dark Magician + Blue-Eyes together is a bad idea. Nothing but bricks. We don't need bricks. Battle of Chaos gave us fantastic Blue-Eyes support. Dictator of D A freaking lvl 4 that alone created further Synchro power and Jet Dragon increased it even more. There is a new Dragon Master Knight were getting that was leaked. A triple negate, A fantastic fusion.

The somewhat wild thing about this deck is that it isn't a Structure Deck R, meaning we very well might get the Atlantean R deck a short time after this.

We will be getting Tactical Try Decks in the OCG. Three structure decks namely Eldlich, Cyber Dragon, and Live Twin. Each structure deck is ready to play with staples including 2 copies of ash, 2 maxx c, 2 imperm, raigeki, lightning storm, and talents, thrust and droplet.

@@thefonzpart Should probably stick with the theme set by the last structure deck imo. The fusions are the big beaters you use to end games and the synchros are the ones that protect your board. If they are going to introduce a xyz member to the family it should be one that faciliates your plays.
If Blue-Eyes gets an Xyz, then Dark Magician should get a Synchro. Then they each use all of the older extra deck mechanics. I’m all for it!

I don't play the game at all. But I like buying some of these sets just to own some nostalgic cards and collect some cards and sets I never got a chance to as a poor kid. Blue Eyes, Dark Magician, Exodia etc. are always fun for me just to buy and get that old feeling of opening some cards again.

Since this is a new product and not a retrain hopefully cards like the bingo machine and other cards that came from that one set will be included. Will this make Blue-Eyes relevant again? Depends on what is in the product.
Theres two ways to make blue eyes good. Go the full stun/control route by giving them broken floodgates to win with blue eyes beatdown. Go the synchro combo route by giving them starters searchers and an extra deck boss monster worth summoning. I just hope they dont try to mix and stick with one idea
The problem is, the card that won them Worlds _is_ a Synchro _and_ a floodgate, so the two will probably always remain married in the minds of the card designers.

@@lordmonarch2995 I don’t think so. The only other structure deck I can remember was the Saga of Blue-Eyes White Dragon in 2016, which was the counterpart to the Dark Magician support in the core set The Dark Illusion. They’ve been in a few starter decks based on the characters though

A shining dragon retrain would be interesting.
It would be really cool if blue eyes was tier zero in TCG for the end of 2024 and kinda control the meta for 3 months, and the Gandora G / Shining sarc was the other meta deck in the same time frame.
As someone who's been labbing Shining Sarc, i've only found a strong use case for it in Gold Pride PUNK so far.
I've never really played Blue-Eyes, because I was always more fan of Red-Eyes. But with this SD I'm definitely going to build a deck
Also the deck is "Eyes of Blue" Potentially meaning they're releasing new Synchro support for Blue-Eyes that leads to your Fusion and ritual plays. As for a link monster, would be nice but I doubt they're going to do a link for Blue-Eyes but a new With Eyes of Blue link 1 would be fantastic, especially if it reference to Crystron Halq at some degree but for Blue-Eyes.
Funny enough, the blue eyes support did come in a set, the new rarity collection has jet dragon and alternate (and bingo machine)
I would hold off buying Jet Dragon right now as it is in the Rarity Collection 2 set. Chances are there will be a LOT of them appearing on the market in a couple of weeks and it will be available in Quarter Century too. I for one will be selling any copies of it I get, no matter the rarity.
For Kaiba support I'm looking forward to that x-head cannon enemy controller support.

The last real TCG Dark Magician Structure Deck was in Legendary Dragon Decks and the Blue-Eyes one was in Legendary Decks 2 both released in 2016. Since then since then nothing has come out
I thought of some names for future Red Eyes support. They just need effects. I wish pure Red Eyes was competitive. BE and DM support have way more than RE. Their support is just 🤌 compared to RE. RE needs more consistency. Re doesn't know what it wants to do. Mostly they've focused on equip cards, gy, searching recycling, burn damage and boosting ATK from GY.
Red Eyes Potential (Continuous spell)
Red Eyes Fury (Counter Trap)
Red Eyes Revenge (Counter Trap)
Destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of each monster's ATK.
Red Eyes Salvation (Trap)
Red Eyes Sovereignty (Field Spell)
Red Eyes Remedy (Quick play Spell) Destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field and gain life points equal to one monster's ATK.
Red Eyes Repayment (Trap) Search your deck and discard up to 3 cards from your deck to the GY and banish up to that many cards from your opponent's deck of your choice.
Red Eyes Retaliation (Trap)
Swap the ATK and DEF values of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field and one "Red Eyes" you control gains ATK according to difference of each one.
Vengeance of the Red Eyes (Spell)
Reckoning from the Black Dragons (Trap)
Rise from Ashes (Continuous Trap)
Activate only when a "Red Eyes" monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. Special Summon that monster to your side of the field in the same battle position it was in when destroyed. Equip to it the monster that destroyed it as an equip card and get it gains 800 ATK/DEF. When your monster would be destroyed, destroy that card instead. Banish this card from the GY and draw 2 card.
Descent into Darkness (Continuous Spell) Your opponent's monsters lose 600 ATK for each "Red Eyes" you control and one monster you control gains 600 ATK for each "Red Eyes" on the field and in the GY. Your opponent cannot activate card effects during the battle phase.
Red Eyes Refusal (Counter Trap)
When your opponent activates effects in response to summoning a "Red Eyes" you can negate that cards activation and banish it. You can then target up to 2 cards on your opponent's side of the field and return them to the deck. Inflict 2400 to your LP for using this effect.
When the Smoke Clears (Quick Play Spell)
The first time any "Red Eyes" monster you control would be destroyed by card effects or battle, it is not. Your opponent cannot activate effects in response to this cards activation.
Black Dragon Dominance (Continuous Spell)
Each time a "Red Eyes" is special summoned from the GY to the field increase it's ATK by 400. Any effects that would reduce your monsters ATK are negated. The ATK of monsters your opponent controls is halved during the battle phase.

• Set 1 Spell/Trap directly from your Deck, that specifically lists "Red Eyes" in its text, with a different name from the cards you control and in your GY.

I expect some of the new cards may be based on the rush duel cards that we got in that format. Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon or Vision Dragon perhaps. With it being Eyes of Blue, I suspect it will focus on the tuners as a way to get out the dragons. My hope for this is a Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon retrain and a Paladin of White Dragon retrain.
I bet that this structure deck is much better than the Asian-English structure decks. When it releases in the TCG in 2025, I would definitely buy it.

I hope Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon fused with Mahmoth GY from the anime. Maybe the fusion build can finally be good because Fusion Variations of Blue-Eyes mostly sucks. I want the vanilla Ultimate Dragon to be worth running and summonable. I don't want an 'improved version' of the Blue-Eyes Structure deck since it won't be a focus on the fusion build but more the Synchro Build.
I got into modern yugioh recently and I lost every match. Mostly Trickstars because I ran out of lp before my turn starts like in 5 games.

Make it so every card in the structure deck can be pulled as a qcr. That will make the decks sell like hotcakes in the tcg
I know blue eyes isn't ever gonna be meta ever again since 2018? I think 😂, but I still like collecting it and playing it. Making it more affordable maxing it old has been fun the last few years now. I hope we get new cards to make the deck a bit more competitive, at least at locals would be fun

I know , I know this isn't deserved, in the volume area, blue got so much, in it being playable it needs it, think if it becomes high tier 2 or what I do not expect tier 1, it'll make blue eyes stuff shoot to goddamn pluto. Even so this will sell greatly or insanely, see you all in July, probably get a good leak then, August I think they give the best one.

This deck is already the largest deck that's ever released in the OCG if I'm not mistaken, sitting at 50 cards (and still having the usual enhancement pack of 5 cards). OCG decks tend keep the main deck at exactly 40 cards, and tokens are always placed in a separate pack that's included with the structure deck, so we're looking at an extra deck of 10 cards. If you count Azure-eyes, there's 7 total blue-eyes extra deck monsters that have been released so far, so we could getting at least 3 new extra deck blue-eyes monsters?
Hard to get excited by blue-eyes or DM support when the support doesn’t even make the themes rogue. To think blue-eyes was once a full blown meta deck. And DM has never become that. Crazy to me.

My guess is we'll get something similar to Phantom of Yubel where you can shuffle cards from your hand back into the Deck to Summon it, to help fix Blue-Eyes biggest issue: bricking
It's both hilarious and sad that the archetype that created Deep Draw Dragon is still a brick fiesta; they could draw Exodia, but not themselves. I guess you could call it a tragedy, but it's not a story the meta players would tell you.

1. I want a affect Tuner monster lv one through four. That can search blue eyes spell or trap, that can also special summon itself if there is a light monster on the field.
2. I want a SYNCHRO MONSTER any thing higher than LV 9 that can be the archetypes omni negate.
3. A brand new fusion monster that can you push for game with some by popping cards on the field up to the number of blues CARDS in the GY. That also has some type of effect to bounce into another blue eyes card.
3. A brand new spell card that searches cards that list blue eyes in its text or name. Second effect with this card is in the graveyard. You can protect one blue eyes card for destruction.
4. Can we get a spell card with blue eyes in its name that can ritual or fusion summon in the archetype PLZ?
5. Can we please get an starter(tuner if it need to be) that just jumps on the border if there are no cards on the border and be a one card combo

Konami has a lot of work to do for this deck. I'm not sure if Konami will deliver good support. Blue eyes has always gotten weird support that just never translated towards success. If I'm playing one to three copies of a lvl 8 normal monster brick in 2024, I expect to have a huge reward for taking the risk.

Interesting this news comes just a couple days after I rolled out 25 custom cards in dueling book for the blue eyes theme. I doubt I’ll like what Konami puts out more than what I worked on, but I agree this is what the community needs.
