I completely agree, daughter of no worlds was soooo good but serpents was just okay and was disappointed bc i loved daughter of no worlds. I also read it before the hype and was very surprised the acotar girlies found it and went crazy on TikTok.

I also don't like info dumping. Sara J. Maas does it and compared to the way of giving information of the world and the characters by Leigh Bardugo in her books info dumping is so just boring and uninspiring. It;s much better when the author thinks of clever way of giving the info with the plot rather than be like "here's everything you need to know let's go babyyyyyy!". it just reads to me as lazy storytelling :p but i get it if people like it. it's just a personal preference ;)
