Now you get why Sanemi did what he did to nezuko..
Because he thought that his mother couldn't resist her demon form and he has to kill to but.. tanjiro didn't kill her sister which is a demon..
To Nezuko? Understandable
To Tanjiro? No.
To Genya? No excuses!
doesn't at all explain why he tortured nezuko. nezuko was in a box, the box in open sunlight. she could not escape. argue for her execution if you think that's the right thing to do. sadistic torture of nezuko directly in front of her only surviving family is deeply depraved and wholly unjustified. it's frankly sad how few fans of this show seem to grasp this.

@@DingoEnderZOE2 no, op didn't say now we understand why sanemi felt that way. he said now we understand sanemi's actions. this strongly implies justification for those actions, to which i'm strongly objecting. right and wrong matter a great deal, always, and especially on this show that beats you over the head at every single opportunity to tell you how empathetic, how compassionate, how fundamentally _decent_ its main character is despite crushing hardships and devastating loss.

This episode is certainly one of the most memorable. The team spectacularly delivered on the brothers' terror and sadness. Excellent reaction
Genya's voice actor did it amazingly!! I cried again watching this with Sonny and Kat. It's so sad their story and his oni-chan had to end with his mother and their you get to understand why he was so aggressive towards Nezuko and Tanjiro.

Sanemi also in a small relationship with the big sis of shinobu in past, but she even died by demons (showed in season 1) after all this tragedies he became that aggressive against demons

One of the most tragic backstory. Just like Tanjiro. I totally get why Sanemi is like hie is. His experience with demons as a kid was very hard
