Do you know the background of the name change? MLB put a lot of pressure on the Cleveland franchise to get rid of a nickname that was offensive to Native Americans and, to the credit to the team, it got rid of the racist tag. I'm a lifelong Tigers fan, but I say to my friends in Cleveland, "Good for you."
I’m with you buddy. As a Native American I miss the old name. Never found it offensive. Thin skinned people who have nothing better to do are the ones who lose sleep over things like that. Toughen up and give us back the Indians!
