SCP-1529, also known as the King of the Mountain, is a humanoid individual residing near the summit of Mt. Everest in Nepal, above the 8,000 meter "death zone" mark where human acclimatization is believed to be impossible. SCP 1529 appears to be of average height and weight and is dressed head to toe in what resembles standard mountaineering wear and boots, colored white. SCP-1529's face is entirely obscured by the hood of its parka and what appears to be an oversized pair of opaque black mountain goggles. SCP1529 has never been observed to wear any other clothes. As very few living people have observed SCP-1529 except through a telescope, it is not known whether its coverings are clothes or part of its body, or what it may look like underneath

My guess is that the hypnotic effects makes the climbers forget about that since i dont think they would allow people to climb these mountains without this kind of knowledge.
@@thehoffmeister9277 your blood vessels usually constrict in the cold and expand in the heat for better radiating heat. When your body is too cold, the control mechanisms mess up and your body expands those vessels allowing more blood to the surface. The expanded blood vessels make you feel warmer when you are actually freezing.

This scp sounds like an urban tale in my country. It is said that high in Mt. Jade, there is a man wearing yellow raincoat. Whoever sees him is doomed to unevitable death. He would lure climbers out of their route, misleading them to dangerous locations.
That reminds me of the stories of people seeing this guy wearing an old school gasmask and carrying I think an axe (it's been a long time since I've heard that story) on hiking trails. Very creepy in my opinion.

I like Lord Bung his animations are great, but Confinement is more of a comedic take, while this channel has that Animal Planet Documentary style to it, showing how spooky some SCPs are, I don't watch the other animated channels only The Exploring Series, which he doesn't do exclusively SCPs but I like the videos he does on it even though it's mostly just him reading the entry off the website and giving his thoughts on each one.

I suspect the Scp feels the need to “help” those people who are cold and “suffering” while climbing. But that’s just a theory I came up with

the scp is arrogant and conceited. he believes that he is helping in some twisted way, but drops the pretences if he’s insulted in any way. it also seems like he was lying about the ‘gift’ based on his scare attempt, of that one guy.

Given how that mountain has 3 other keter scps, and that this specific one claimed to be giving a "gift". I think it just wants people to die feeling warm and happy instead of slowly freezing to death or dying to the other keter entities on that mountain
Or he is just a sort of guardian that knows 1 who will die a horrible death and tries to "help them" like you said. Or 2 he knows who is "bad" for the mountain, like throwing garbage , or do something bad for the nature on the mountain since a lot of inexperienced idiot "tourists" think they can do whatever they want on the mountain.

There are some rumors in the SCP Wiki page that there is a connection between *SCP-096 (Shy Guy)* & this *King Of The Mountain* SCP, it seems like Scp-1529 was the reason why the shy guy became what he is today.

I love this channel I'm so glad Alteori brought it to my attention, it's like watching an Animal Planet Documentary on SCPs, and I like that you choose lesser known ones, from the ones I've read on the website, or seen from other channels covering them, I don't recall seeing any of them featured in these animations. I need to binge watch all of these now.
It's really nice to see adaptation of lesser known SCP's I get tired of watching content about the same SCP's over and over again when the pleasure of this FIC is the sheer amount of content and different types of stories .

Although, the king of the mountain said “ You want to climb? Then climb!” As he raised a cliff above the used to be human scp 096. He kept doing this until he became a husk. then I think the now scp 096 got a hallucination that everyone was the king of the mountain. Scp 096 wanted revenge. He attacked anyone that looked at him. @@SStupendous the difference is harry potter is made by one person who decides what is and isn't canon, scps are made by the community, if a story becomes popular enough its usually seen as canon in the scp universe.
