Just wondering, because I only play ITG and therefore I don’t fully understand how difficult these newer DDR songs are, would you say anything in DDR has exceeded the difficulty of Vertex^2?

Multiple songs have exceeded Vertex^2, in terms of passing at the very least. All the 19s here for starters. And a few of the 18s like Endymion, Trip Machine Evolution, IX, this one maybe
Vertex^2 is just ... nothing like a ddr chart, so it's hard to say. There is a lot of chaotic bursts and very strange and complicated rhythms throughout vertex^2, which isn't seen in ddr really. But it would def be a 19 if it were in ddr. ddr uses more double stepping and jumps; it can be hard to rate ddr songs on the itg scale and vice versa.
graduator14 he had to memorize the speed variations, but not entire sections. It's not impossibly fast and if you focus on the beat in the song and look more towards the bottom of the screen you can match the arrows with the up/down ticks of the rhythm of the song. Weird to explain but you'll just eventually kinetically get it.
Did you memorize every arrow in the section or the fact that those sections are coming with an idea of the patterns? No one memorizes sv's in stepmania or o!mania but I guess since it takes more time/effort to move your legs than hands it might be different.
I wasn't implying he could sightread it, more that he knew the sections were coming and was counting 1,2,3,4 in his head in sync with the bpm to keep on time with a good idea of the arrow patterns using them as reference rather than memorizing every single individual arrow to the point he could close his eyes and still hit all of them. That's what I do to keep in time with weird ass speed variations anyways. It might be different too if he's going for AAAA rather than just a fc or a solid AA.
@@GODFUN1OO Chris probably will win the 2019 KAC. But I'm happy that this year Fungah stands a chance to at least have the second place or even win the KAC, now both will need to pass the thin margin to pass the qualifiers when it starts.

Inujosha Ever since DDR X(?) charts were rescaled from 1-10 feet to level 1-20. As a point of reference, Max 300 expert is a lv 15 chart.
after the backlash of SuperNOVA 2 Level charts being inaccurate. The game songs had to be scaled from Level 1-20 starting from X to present.
