Man this really took me back for a minute. Its amazing.... Definitely one of the best baseball games of its time! Sadly, our sons will never know the feeling of blowing air into the NES cartridge, over and over again. 😂
omg...just omg. I forgot about this...then randomly remembered it...and found this.. The contant swinging on pitches was hilarious in this game. You could swing over and over again in the middle of a pitch. Also the ball was controllable I think. Like UFO type movements.
I'd probably have to say this was the first baseball game I played on the NES. I didn't own an NES until way late in its lifecycle and the one I owned was the toploader version. So growing up if I would go to my friend's house I would be able to play on his NES and this was one of the games we played.
I love the aluminum bats being used in this game. Even back then I remember the gameplay being somewhat shoddy. Fielding fly balls and ground balls was very difficult. Throwing to the right base sometimes didn’t work, as you would try to turn a double play on a ground ball to the shortstop, and he would throw to 1st or 3rd instead Even base running was like that. You’d try to hold your runner up at 3rd, yet he would make a beeline for home anyways and get tagged out by the catcher Shit like that I remember so much about this game that, had it had better gameplay, this would have been a tough competitor to RBI Baseball. Even more so if it were MLB licensed like RBI was
This was a fun BB game but it took a lot longer to finish a game when compared to other BB games for the NES. I still think Baseball Stars is my all time favorite NES BB game.
I loved this game! I swear one time i hit a batter or got hit i forget i dunno if i was playing one or 2 players but the batter charged the mound! Right hand to the man , it coulda been 2 or 3 maybe but i remember hitting batters trying to to get em to do it again , but only that once
I would do this all the time to my brother he always picked Philly and the No.4 hitter Oko was a beast who would hit homers off me all the time so in turn I would just bean him and he would charge the mound. To get around being ejected just hit the B button and he would just go to 1st base.
Bigger ROM size gave them more room to play around, and Jaleco were just good at audiovisual stuff like this. This doesn't apply to the U.S. version, but the Japanese version also had extra audio hardware inside the cartridge itself for better sound effects and voice synthesis: nicole.express/2022/what-does-the-nes-say.html
I think a few Baseball games from Japan did it. Super Batter Up on SNES also plays this music and I thought Baseball Stars on NES. (Could be wrong on that one) Been a long time.
So believe it or not, I'm blind and I became quite good at this game. The double swing helped as a batter, but it was fun to exploit the glitches. More than once with Perez of Texas, I'd get to about the 7th with a no hitter, then suddenly the batters would swing early at his fastball down the middle, every single time. I did not remember it being at a certain pitch count, but the effect would take place during the 7th and if you had not allowed a hit by then, you knew the nono was going to happen.
Thanks for letting me know, hadn't noticed that. Attribution in a link in the description would have been better than the attribution in the video but I don't think I can be mad at it. His video pulls from my channel heavily, but it's an edited thing with commentary, and I have stuff on this channel like old TV commercials that don't belong to me anymore than my footage belongs to him. Really appreciate you letting me know though.
A really impressive and solid game for its time. This and Double Dribble were the two big NES sports games I remember as a kid.
Don’t forget Ice Hockey
super spike v ball
@@michaelraney6732that would be blades of steel
Both Konami
@@omidnamin9004super dodge ball was the shit as well. I remember going against India… and all the stereotypical India names, like Swammi 😆
In 93 my pops was real sick, i remember playing this while he would watch. Thank you for this.
“YUK, DUM, BOO, and BUM.” Names that will live in infamy.

This is more fun to watch than a real game!
No it’s not
Lmfaooo
I loved this game!
I hadn't thought about Bases Loaded in a long time. I spent many an hour playing this back in the day.
This was my all time favorite baseball game!!
Bases Loaded II was my favorite NES sports game.
Jersey was my go to, Paste and Bay combo was unstoppable, plus the 4 unhittable pitchers (that I am aware of)
Meh. Bay was solid but Agua was the best.
Wow, Paste and Bay: haven’t thought of those names in 30 years
Mine too!!
Yeah I won the World Series a couple of times playing Jersey. I remember Hawaii had a really good cleanup hitter too.
The pitching motion was ahead of it’s time .
If you're just here for the cool home run animation, skip to 26:06
Doing the lord's work here. 🙏🏻

My favorite baseball game back in the NES Days i love this game
i loved it,,, especially sub pitcher and underhand pitchers/side arm
Man I miss this game!!!!
❤ Bases Loaded is a very good NES Baseball game...😊😊
I really miss playing this video game.

I have an irrational love for the toploader. Feels like I spend a lot less time blowing on cartridges for it compared to the toaster
Oko...was my favorite player. Was very powerful.

Ames on NY was a beast
Jajaja
This is awesome. The music is not what I remember… I had idealized the musical theme. In my memory I hear a full orchestral ensamble 😂
This was a fun BB game but it took a lot longer to finish a game when compared to other BB games for the NES. I still think Baseball Stars is my all time favorite NES BB game.
Totally agreed on both here
Yes paste and bay was great hitters

I think I’ve heard about this, I’ll have to try and record it
@@30-30Clubplay DC and hit Fendy. Every team had one that would trigger it but that's the only one I can think of off the top

Wooden bats that sounded like aluminum when you hit the ball
best part was when the guy would charge the mound after you hit too many players
The 5 Teams that are of my highest priority.
Jersey > Boston > Hawaii > Omaha > Philly
Warner was a beast
Star was the man. He hit the homerun in this video. The music is unforgettable..lol
I remember that name. What team was he on?
And Paste has charged the mound!
If you struck out with the bases loaded and no outs the ump would say "You bum your out"
One of the most fun games ever. Was it Oakland that was clearly better than every other teams?
Here for the New Pitcher animation and music.
I was so good at this game. My pitching was incredible i had a trick that i will pitch a no hitter every game lol everyone will pop out to right field
Do you remember the trick? I gotta know
When I was the pitcher I always tried to hit the batter with the ball.
Valez was the best pitcher in the game
Anyone know why Jaleco's Bases Loaded has such similar music to Tengen's RBI Baseball but better?
Bigger ROM size gave them more room to play around, and Jaleco were just good at audiovisual stuff like this.

The backstop reminds me of the new Texas Rangers stadium every time lol

Awesome to hear. Actually not the only blind commenter on this channel! I want to try out this strategy with Perez.
totally blind and this was the first sports game I got introduced to.
Philly vs Jersey. “CAR”, The best pitcher in the game with the lowest ERA vs. “PASTE” the best slugger in the game with the highest batting avg.
Remember, Norkus
Me and my dad used to play at least 1 game of this almost every night. 🥺🥹
Paste and Bay 🤟🏾⚾️
Used to play the shit out this game
hell yeah
Just to give you a heads up, there's a channel called Tigerchainsaw that is using your footage from this video and others and monetizing off of it.

@@30-30Club No probs. Funny enough, his commentary is 100% ripped off from Mobygames pretty much word for word on almost every video.
