Great book read to me. I would have loved to read this to my grandchildren one day. For Halloween story. Not too scary just right. Being Irish helps explain family bonds so strong.

Really great story & narrated very well. The narrator is great distinguishing characters! There is a pause btwn chapters- in the beginning I tht I was pausing it on my phone accidentally- not a complaint, just letting listeners know.

This is all very well done. However if you use a quote , there must be a reference who made the quote. Just make up a source .One of the best ghost stories I've ever read ' ; The Houston mail ; ...Or whatever..Nobody's going to check ;)
Over three hours in and the most haunted part is the brief smell of roses? Not much of a ghost story yet. Plus the sad thing that just happened (no spoilers)... this book is so far very dissatisfying. It's making me feel frustrated, not entertained or engaged.

The lady of the house is a horrible snob. Bloodline nobility systems just make nepo babies with undeserved snobbery. Chapter 10 was oddly satisfying.
