I feel like the martket is just extremely saturated right now. There's so many series that people religiously read without touching other manga such as MHA, JJK and One Piece. When they come to an end, I feel like those fans will also pick up more manga similar to those. The best thing Jump can hope for is another grittier series like JJK and another massively good world building series like MHA. One Piece can't be replaced that's why I dont bring it up as a solution because there is none. Those fans just have to decide for themselves but I assume Jump are gonna milk One Piece for decades after it's ending.

@@ZackSNetwork Compared to JJ, kaiju No.8 and other manga in SJ rn yeah it has pretty good world building. There's so much lore and it's very well documented and explored because the main conflict of the show spans back potentially 100-200 years. It may not have the best writing but Horikoshi definitely did a good job fleshing out his world and what super society is like. It's not gonna be on the level One Piece is at but that comparison is idiotic to make. One Piece has way more time to explore it's world its genuinely not worth the comparison.

4:20 to be fair, demon slayer is a pretty big anomaly. It absolutely blew the hell up in 2019 and it’s sales absolutely exploded, and despite having less than half the chapters and volumes that bleach does, it’d already outsold it by the demon slayer’s end. It exploded pretty close to it’s end compared to when a series like dragon ball exploded(1987, 8 years before the series ended).

It's not like there no room now, though. Back in the early 2000s people talked about the "Big Three" for a reason, the triad of Naruto-Bleach-One Piece dominated the magazine. There's never been a triple threat like that since. Nothing forbids, say, Undead Unluck from becoming the next massive hit, it just doesn't because as good as it is times seem to have changed. It might be a change in readership or the manga/anime industry in general, though I think that Jump's policies are actually a problem too. The average length of Jump series seems to have shortened, yet they keep being as strict and quick to axe as ever. The result is they'll have to lower the bar, because they need more replacement (faster turnover) while killing off a lot of series very quickly.

This isnt entirely regarding the magazine itself but I have a feeling that mha isnt going anywhere. The main story may leave soon but horikoshi is extending it out slightly according to his recent comments. The anime is still due for another season after this based on current pacing.
Hori confirmed way back that he has something planned regarding the heroes as adults which could be in manga form that is shounen jump related wether it be a sequel, or more spinoffs by him/assistants.
We still have an inevitable anime adaptation of my hero vigilantes. According to studio bones mha movie contract they still have about 5-6 years worth of my hero movies. Theres a solid chance the world of my hero will still cling onto wsj or sj plus/giga in the future

Looking to My Hero As a current pillar isn’t wrong at all but we’ve got to remember, Bleach and Naruto ran alongside One Piece for over a decade before MHA even existed. Then those series ended and new titles like MHA, JJK and KNY rose up to fill the voids left by the other big 3 titles. The magazine will be very different when One Piece eventually ends but new things will always come along. At one point in time, Dragon Ball was the flagship. I don’t think there’s anything to really worry about other than dealing with change as an audience used to things being a certain way. I for one will find it so odd when One Piece ends but that’s just life.

Sakamoto Days, Dandadan and Kagurabachi are some of the best modern manga I’ve read.
Spy X Family is really good as well as Golden Kamuy.
Kaiju no. 8 is not bad either. SJ will be fine.

I mena also Shounen Jumps sales are still good but get less eveery year especially with all of the online Service. I even could imagine that Shounen Jump agazine will end with the last One Piece Chapter. If not i thik a bit after One Piece ended. All the other Manga will than be going online.
